Pretty Plant Ties
This idea comes to us from Marcia in Washington: “Last summer, the wind ran rampant among my hollyhocks; it didn’t level them, but they were leaning low. I was fresh out of twine ... what to do?”
Grab some pretty yarn and crochet a long chain (65–75 ch) with a size J crochet hook, then add one row of triple crochet.
“Voila! The ballerinas of the backyard fence are en pointe and looking lovely. This was also a stellar gift for the gardeners on my gift list. Use them for the season, then just throw them in with a load of wash and store for the winter.”
