Plum Cobbler

cups Italian prune plums, pitted and quartered

- Preheat oven to 375ºF.
- Toss plums with the next five ingredients; place in a Dutch oven.
- Bake for 40 minutes or until mixture is bubbling. Remove from oven; increase oven heat to 425ºF.
- In a medium bowl, combine dry topping ingredients.
- In a small bowl, whisk together buttermilk and butter.
- Add liquid ingredients to flour mixture; mix well.
- Drop topping by spoonfuls on top of plum mixture.
- Return to oven and bake 15-20 minutes, or until topping is light golden brown.
