Dear MaryJane,

I was lucky enough to find your Magazine, but so sorry to hear that there were only two other issues! And sorrier still to find that the Premiere Issue is SOLD OUT! I was wondering if there might be any way I could get a photocopy? It doesn't have to be glossy and fancy, I just want to read it.

Thanks,
Tracy Jasnowski

P.S. I ordered the chicken video and the bee bar you featured, just waiting for them to arrive.

It was a pleasure to hear from you. I love to write but have never done anything like this before. Thank you for your prompt reply, it was a great way to start my day! Also, I never did express my genuine pleasure over the chicken issue! All my married life I wanted to live in the country and have a small farm/organic garden, with goats, chickens etc., but my then-husband told me absolutely no. Imagine my dismay when my son came home only a few weeks ago to tell how daddy and his new wife were going to get chickens! I am obviously well rid of that fella but your magazine inspired me to do it anyway and my brother just agreed to let me keep chickens at his place! Is it possible to subscribe without purchasing from the catalog? I am a single mom with a small income and make everything from scratch to save money. Finally, I wanted to know more about your farm school. Could a woman with some free time but not a lot of cash come and help out for a week for a little retreat to renew the mind and spirit?

Thank you for your time and blessings to you and your staff,
Kati Bogdan

Hello from Germany!

Hello MaryJane and Nick,
Just received your mailing. Congratulations on the book deals! That's great news. I didn't realize how slow business was last year but things appear much brighter now. I'm very happy for you.

As for me, I'm deploying to Iraq in February for 6-12 months. Once I get there, I'm sure I'll be ordering some food from you. Army food gets old very fast!

Take care,
Mike

Hi hoe!
Hay there,

Ok, I've read every word of the current issue which I found by luck at our local Border's Books and now I want MORE... And I see on your website that you have no more of the Premiere Issue. Is there any way to see it otherwise? Libraries? Ebay? I will try to sample it on your website and would appreciate any help on how to get "caught up" by tracking down a copy of this Premiere Issue. In the meantime, I think I will order a copy of the Backcountry Issue, maybe try some of your products and then await the NEXT issue.

Thanks for your inspiration and gentle words. I appreciate all the info. especially as my husband & I are ready to move from our little piece of earth, a small organic farm, in New Hampshire, to live on a very small piece of sandy soil in a small city in Florida. We leave here with mixed emotions but are hopeful about what we can create in our new life, thanks to your words of wisdom. One idea we have is to work on a community garden project on city land — any info/insight on this venture?

Thank you for putting yourself and your products 'out there'.

Best to all,
Margi Wood

MaryJane,

Reading my Spokesman Review this morning, I saw the article about your landing the big book deal. What a wonderful accomplishment for you! Congratulations!

For a country girl, you done good!

Thanks for the generous box of goodies! Can't wait to try them, and of course share with family and friends— and the article looks great! I am a one-person sales force for your magazine, I tell EVERYONE about it, and always have one with me for a visual!!! Again, thanks!!!

Dear MaryJane,

Hello! My name is Connie Russell, and I purchased one of your recent magazines, took it to Seattle, shared it with my wonderful sis-n-law. What a wonderful, enlightening, fun magazine! It is now out of my possession, I miss it, and I have already read to from cover to cover. Please inform me on how to order back issues.

Thank You so much,
Connie Russell

P.S. I grew up on a dairy farm in southern Idaho. I was chief milker, and potato picker from early on. It taught me how to work!!

MaryJane,

Thanks for offering to send copies of your magazine to the women listed below.I really enjoyed our conversations today (1. re:subscriptions 2. going bra-less in Massachusetts!).

My daughter and I have raved over your Organic Southwestern Couscous and although she has stored her large varied order for emergency situations I think she will be breaking into the couscous box as soon as we have our first snow storm. We may even hope for a bit of an emergency just to give us an excuse to "munch with MaryJane".

This is an unbelievable literary achievement. I find something new to absorb every time I pick it up to peruse. I know the women whose names are below will deeply appreciate receiving a copy and join in the MaryJanes Farm Movement.

Gratefully,
Jane
