Wow! A lot of great projects completed while we were on our cruise. I am bringing back a couple projects with me. Ha ha!

Love your slow stitch, Judith. I’d love to learn how to do that. I sure have enough scraps for it. Can you please send the link to the online class?
Love your grandmother’s quilt that you finished, Vanessa.
Love the quilt and pillow you made, Michele.
Can’t wait to see the doll and outfit, Andrea.

I hope to get some of my projects, UFOs and new, finished. I’ll post pictures soon.

Farmgirl hugs,
Linda

Linda -- I would love to send you a link but I can't. It was a one day zoom class from CraftNapa. They started zoom classes for the pandemic and are unfortunately going back to in-person next year. Basically you just gather all your artistic scraps and start layering until you are happy with the results. Big stitch hand sewing was encouraged but I mostly used sewing machine as I can't do much hand sewing anymore. It was fun but I didn't make a dent in my scrap pile or ephemera. Your travels might give you some good ideas to try.

The third week after chemo has me feeling pretty good so I've been able to finish a couple projects (and start another one). I finally got the potato chip top put together. They said "Betch can't make just one" and I say "Oh yeah? Watch me". It was easy, fairly fast, and boring. I'll give it to the guild so one of the members can quilt it on a longarm for the charity quilts.

This is my January quiltlet for my little quilt club:

LOL! Judith, you amaze me! You whip up those quilts like they're nothing. I love the little quiltlet. Do you adapt patterns for them or is there somewhere I could find (preferable free) patterns to try a tiny quilt? I have a shelf in my bedroom that will hold a mini quilt. I've just been putting a seasonal towel on it, but you've inspired me to try to make something for it. I'm so glad to hear the chemo isn't too hard on you. I hope it continues to be that way!

Judith your quilts are amazing. And I am happy that you have something to keep your mind busy through Chemo. Hang in there. I continue to pray for you and keep you in my thoughts.

Super job on both quilts, Judith. You amaze me. I am so happy you are feeling better. I have a bunch of 2" and 2-1/2" squares. Maybe I should make some potato chip tablerunners, though my scrap pile probably wouldn't get too small.

And I love your quiltlet. I like the courthouse steps pattern, especially for scraps. I have the Bonnie Hunter Crooked Courthouse Steps on our bed - but it still needs binding. LOL!

Beautiful quilts Judith, you keep inspiring me to finish my Mama’s quilt.

Great stash buster quilt Judith. And the mini one is very lovely. The pillow I made was a potato chip pattern, after you had mentioned how they were made. I made 2x4 inch squares, sewed my first two center ones and oopps, my squares were too big. I did not account for seam allowances. I just had to cut a half an inch of the rest of the squares to make it work. Just took it to our friends and they loved it. Thanks for the idea. Hope your feeling stronger and better this week.

For the past 4 days I have been cutting fabric and sewing squares for a quilt to go with the kids book called "The Little Ghost Who was a Quilt." This will be for my grandson for Halloween this October - at least one UFO project will be done. LOL! I'm using 5" squares, 8 across and 10 down for a 36" x 45" quilt, placing them in no noticeable pattern, and the top is almost done. I have the rows done; just need to sew them together and figure out now to quilt it. I cut extra squares and am making a bag for carrying both the quilt and book. I will post the top and book maybe this afternoon when the rows are sewn together.
