Another year - More UFOs.
Let's make an intention to get some of our UFOs recategorized as FOs. Get your list ready, post it here, and receive support.
Happy Crafty!

Great idea Marie, that’s on my list for this year. I only completed one project from my original list from two years ago. Since then , I have decluttered my craft room twice now, and completely changed one side with a longer work service. I am very optimistic for 2025. I will post my list and any additions soon.

Great idea, Marie! I have been working on some of my UFOs. Two are now on the FO list! My plan is to get at least one done every month. I want to do more, but I get too bogged down and don't get any done if I plan too big! Just one at a time seems to work best for me. How does it go? "Slow and steady." That's my plan!

I had to add a couple more items to my list this year. I received 2 new diamond paintings and 1 large cross stitch for Christmas. Even though they are not started, I still add them to my UFO list because they will need to be done. I updated my list last week and I have 22 items. Many of them that are left are not easy finishes. My goal is to finish 2 a month starting next month. January is my month for getting organized and ready to get back on track.

I had eight items on my list for last year and completed six of them. I'll add the two incomplete items to this year's list. It is most gratifying to see the stack of UFO's getting smaller but I keep coming across more. The hard past has been not to start anything new.

Hello all. I am happy to see progress is being planned. I have plans also.
1) I am in the process of making two tapestry crochet bags for a couple friends which I had promised them before we went into lockdown. After restarting a couple times, I have all the counts correct and am working the color-changes. I do one row at a time and always recheck my work.
2) I made a pillow out of a piece of crewel work I received from somewhere (can't remember). The problem was I stuffed it with feathers and they were poking out. Also, the fabric used for the back was unstable. I bought new fabric and a pillow insert. I am ready to go!
3) I have a hole in a knit poncho which I have neglected for years. This is the year it gets fixed!
4) I started sewing some larger (6" X 6") scraps onto squares of various sheet fabric to make a quasi-crazy quilt. I have one strip finished and am now doing some embroidery on every piece of scrap. I believe I will make six or eight same size strips and bind them into a quilt.
This will be a thread for support and congratulations. Here is some of mine:
Wanda - It is so wonderful to have a craft room with spaces tailored for the work.
Nancy - Setting a goal is always a good start. One at a time, slow and steady is always the best. If a project gets to large and frustrating, take some time to break it down into smaller steps then finish a step and let it sit for a few days and come back to it with a new perspective.
Krista - Only 22 UFOs? I have over 100! Many of them are mending that I haven't the courage to do. Those will be reclassified and I will find my courage.
Vanessa - Lovely!
Talk with y'all later.

Marie, I have been working on the same list for years lol! It will be so nice once it's less than 10. You got this Marie. I know you can find the courage to get your mending done.

Thank you for starting a new UFO thread. They get pretty long to scroll through, which means farmgirls are getting the UFOs done!! That's great.
I have a new list for this year. The last 2 years I have finished over 12 projects each year for my Quilting group.
I will post my new list here soon. I have at least 7 quilts that just need binding, 5 quilt tops that need borders, 4-6 (maybe more) quilt kits (some I kitted myself), 10" squares to put together, 5" squares to put together, miscellaneous smaller gifts and smaller projects, and who knows what else is hidden. LOL!

I don't have a list, but I have a tote of projects that are started and then some other projects (not in the tote) that aren't started yet. I want to get everything in the tote finished this year.

Heather - It is nice to have a container to empty. My UFOs are scattered all over the place: mending on the TV tray table, crochet and knitting at my feet next to the box of paper scraps, some projects in tote boxes, mending stacked up on the trunk one of my relatives used to carry their possessions across the Atlantic Ocean, a stock of them behind my nightstand and I don't know how many in the basement storage room. Only the ones I have upstairs are on the spreadsheet.

I have finished two more UFOs. I will be posting pics soon. Can't wait to get them done! It seems as if I get one completed and two more show up as I clean up! Very frustrating, but at least they are starting to get completed! I plan to keep plodding along with them, and eventually they will be finished. Yippee! There will be no more bins of unfinished projects! I plan to keep it that way!
