Dear Secret Sister,
I am typing in the dark because our three year old is asleep and I do not want to take a chance waking him. I am practicing my touch typing and think that I am doing a great job with so few errors.
Anyway, thankyou for the condolence card it is very kind of you to think of us.
I received a letter as well today. I hope you have a great trip with your son to Savannah. I have never been to Savannah although wanted to go for years because I was active in Girl Scouting and Juliette Low's house is down there and it is trip destination for many troops.
I am fine waiting until you return from Savannah to receive my reveal package. This is my first swap of this kind and it did take me a few minutes to figure out what you were talking about with regard to a reveal package. lol.
We have had a lot of rain. We have had the rainiest spring of any on record. A few weeks ago there was flood ing in several towns near us. We live on a hill so we have been spared, even our road which is dirt did not suffer.
We had a hawk come last Thursday and Friday and eat two of our meat chickens. It was very persistent in trying to get into the chicken house the next two days. It was a goshawk and it was about 18 inches tall. the bird book said its wingspan is 42 inches. It was ferocious trying to rip the wire off the pen to get at the tasty morsels inside. I hope it has moved on. Wild things are just doing what they are bred to do. I called the local bird expert and he siad I could shoot it if it ate my livestock. I told him that my brain was significantly bigger than the hawks and I should be able to figure out how to keep the meat chickens safe.

Hey Secret Sisters...just a reminder (because I even forgot myself) that we will be revealing ourselves to our Secret
Sisters anytime the last week of JULY. So please keep that in mind. It is always nice to reveal with a card and a gift.
Remember that Sue will be returning to begin sign-ups for Round #11 Secret Sisters in August. I am sure you are all as
excited as I am to have Sue back...doing what she does best...being our Fearless Leader! She has earned my highest
respect and appreciation...her shoes are hard to fill.
Let's make July the best month ever for being Funtastic Secret Sisters!

Thank you S.S. for my great surprise gift today! I received a beautiful embroidered kitchen towel that says,"Life is Good", a FRIENDS metal wall plaque that has a beautiful bird on it, a card that has seeds imbedded in it, and a little rock that has "Inspiration" on it! So many goodies and then a letter from her as well telling me a bit about her farm and garden. I love it all, thank you so much!!!

Well...the cutest little Angel flew into my mailbox yesterday. She is so fluffy and adorable...with brand new 'lil angel wings...I don't know how she made the trip except for the help of the Postal Carrier.  And she brought all kinds of gifts with her...a teeny tiny little angel charm-carrying a heart (which I am now wearing on a chain around my neck at this very moment), and an assortment of wonderful teas, and then the sweetest christian devotional book that you read a page in...every time you sit down with a cup of tea. Which I did this morning during my regular devotional time. The devotions all seem to end in "ty"...like Eternity, Security etc. It is lovely and I am absolutely thrilled with all of it!!!!  ~ But I am so frustrated because I have the hardest time posting pictures on this thread. It's driving me bonkers! I took three pictures yesterday and have tried for two days to upload them on here...because you all need to see this cute little angel girl. BUT...I will wait a few days and just maybe...I will be able to post. That usually works for me for some reason...
Decided though that I just had to thank my Sweet Secret Sister...despite the picture problem...because I don't know who you are but your boxes always brighten my day and just bless my socks off. 
Thank You Joyously from the bottom of my little angel heart!

I love my Secret Sister!!!
I got home today (late, again) to find my husband standing the living room and holding a box for me. I could hardly wait to set my stuff down and rip into. Oh, my, word!!
The "JOY" carving is so beautiful that I want to hang it by my bed and keep it all to myself - but I will find somewhere where everyone can see it and marvel. The necklace is very pretty. It will go well with several outfits I have. I love my gardening journal. I think I will hold on to it and journal round 2 of the veggie garden we have going. I've decided I like gardening!
I love the Chico bags - there are 3 produce bags that fit into the cutest little apple bag! I am putting those to use ASAP. Will be shopping for fresh produce this weekend.
Then there is the lovely blue print toile bag that I will be using the carry around the pretty yarn you sent when I work on the project I have in mind. I love that brand but I do not believe I have seen that particular color here. Love it.
Last but not least, the most beautiful pink wooden picture frame with little lady bugs. I believe I have just the picture to go in but I need to go through my stash and make sure I have it. If not, I'm sure I have others.
Thank you so very very very very very much. You are the best every Secret Sister. I just wish I were have as good as you are. I always get a smile when I see "Secret Sister" in the return address area. So does my hubby.

Oh, I also got the "Herb Goddess" magnet. It went on a special area of the refrigerator right away. DH got a good laugh because I have been trying for 2 years now to grow herbs and, by golly, I think I got it right this year.

Well another trip to the PO today to pick up a large heavy package from my SS. Apparently they had it when I got the first one this week and forgot to give it to me:-( But I have it now....and WOW is all I can say. I will post pics later tonight for sure. BUT I got some garden gloves, 2 bottles of Bath & Body shower gel, a bag of scrapbook paints, a complete package of foam stamps that are really cool, a Family Magazine and "A Close to my Heart" scrapbooking book, and a wonderful DREAM ceramic wall hanging. I can't wait to try out the stamps and paint and read the books. I love magazines and artsy books!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE it ALL. THank you so much SS, you are the BEST!! I do hope you get to feeling better with your asthma though. I know how that is, as I have it myself and it is NO FUN. Get well soon, and sending prayers your way, but THANK YOU again!

I have a fabulous secret sister!! I received the journal and the sunflower sign. They are sooooo neat!:D I feel for you that it is so hot where you are. We haven't had the extreme heat yet, but when we get heat we also get humidity which makes it several degrees hotter. Do you also have humidity? We had a good and exciting camping trip. It rained one night and the next night we were in a resturant and the tornado sirens started going off so we had to go to a back dinning room and get under tables. It was a little scary for a while but then they got the all clear signal. (everyone in the room gave a big sign of relief) I have some flowers coming up from the seeds you sent. I love growing flowers. My vegetable garden is finally looking better. We have finally had several days of nice weather.

Dear Secret Sister, Wow what a wonderful box of surprises. I loved everything, the candle, snowman, dish towel, cookie cutters, vegetable seeds, greeting cards and the beautiful journal. You are so sweet and thoughtful.
I think it's great your grandson made the "All Star Baseball Team". And what a GREAT Grandma you are attending the games. My boys would have loved to have a grandparent at their baseball games when they were younger. Making memories is a wonderful thing.

| Good package realized after a bad day! Yesterday I received a package that contained some yummy looking tea, and attached to one of the teabags was one of those angel on your shoulder pins, so cute (and needed), a bar of homemade soap and was kinda looks like a potholder with a pocket but instructions state that it is a microwave baked potato baker! Interesting love my baked potatoes! Thanks so much sweet secret sis! |

WOW!!!! Once again my secret amazes me!!!! I received a large package a couple days ago full of super fun 4th of July things! Napkins, lanterns, pencils, lip balm, suckers and tootsie rolls, glow in the dark sticks, stickers, bookmarks, books, corn sticks, and it goes on and on!!! My kids were just as thrilled as I was---such a fun box. And I LOVE tootsie pops! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!

Just A Reminder Farm Sisters...you should be preparing your 3rd or 4th gift for your Secret Sister. We will be
revealing ourselves the Last Week Of July with Your Last Gift and Card. (hopefully you will have sent her about
6 gifts total over the three month period). IF NOT...you seriously need to step up your game plan for Round #11

My Secret Sis surprised me with 4th of July gifts,and I love 4th of July. I got the beautiful ceramic hanging flag star, it is now hanging with my 4th of July display and a little book called God's Promises for the American Patriot which I will read on my trip to Savannah next week. I like to keep my mind busy while I fly as I am not real fond of flying:-) So thank you so very much again you surprised me and I love farmgirl surprise farmgirl packages.

Dear Secret Sister,
What wonderful surprises you do send! Did you make the cow towel? I LOVE IT! It goes perfectly in my kitchen. I have always wanted to learn to crochet the toppers like that. The little crocheted button is adorable! If you did crochet it, I hope you will share patterns after the reveal. 0:)
The oinking pig pen is a HOOT!! I know exactly where I set it down last because no one can resist going passed and pushing his little head to make him light up and oink. Even baby Charlie gets a kick out of him! So cute!!!
The Skittles--YUMMY!! I had to share with Hubby..lol He said it was the least I could do since he had to walk all the way (20ft maybe?? lol) to the mailbox to bring my package. :P lol
