It is cold here...single digits and below zero tonight. I am not liking this weather. Did I say we have lots of snow with it?

It is cold here for us (we are far enough south that we don't get the cold like Dawn and Tammy do), twenties for highs and teens for lows. The snow they were predicting didn't come. Very thankful for plenty of firewood and our "Defiant" stove.

I hate heat pumps! I had set the thermostat to 67 because I knew this would happen. It's too cold for a heat pump to work. I got up this morning and it's 65 in here and the aux heat is on. I turned it down to 65 and it's still running. I then turned it down to 64 and it's still running. But not the auz. But it's freezing in here! Like air conditioning. I think it would be better to not have it on at all. My electric bill is going to be huge. All I see are dollar signs when this happens. And it's going to be like this for the next week. Yikes! But it is winter. Sorry for complaining but this is crazy.

It's 4 degrees (F) right now. Going up to a balmy 9 today. Brrr! Hubby is working outside today, he normally doesn't. Bundled him up real good.
We have wind chills anywhere from -5 to -15. Good day to stay home.

Lots and lots of snow here today and tonight and tomorrow! ;) We are on the shores of Lake Ontario so it can be normal winter weather for us, but this is really the first big snows we've had this season. At least the dogs love it....

LOTS and I mean TONS of snow, it comes up to the middle of my calves! Yikes had to deliver mail unexpectedely as well, and didn't like to do that one tiny bit lol. But am home now, with a cup of steaming coffee near the fireplace etc. And still snowing and going to snow all day so who knows how much we will be getting.

We are at 29 right now and I think today will be a repeat of yesterday. It should warm up to about fifty with sun. Yippee another great day for cutting firewood! It's almost 8:00 in the morning here. In a few days it all will change here.... winter will be here again.

Wow, the wind is picking up and it's been raining all morning. I work in my downstairs home office and I've got all the blinds open so I can watch the trees blowing around. I like the sound of the wind, so I've turned off the CD that was playing so I can hear it. I just hope the power doesn't go out. I work on a computer all day.

I'm getting sick of the rain! A little snow in January would be nice. Us Washingtonians are starting to mold!

We have been drowning here in Texas. The mud is up to the horses knees and the dogs have to have their feet cleaned every time they come in. Today the sun is shining and it is suppose to get up to 75. Maybe it will dry up some of the mud before it rains again tomorrow.

Rain, rain, go away already! We are officially a big huge mud pit here. It's like walking on slime. I am constantly slipping and sliding everywhere I go. And it's usually where the animals are so it's ankle deep mud. I am so ready for a nice long dry spell here. I know I need to be careful what I say, but right now that's how I feel.

Our weather here in Eastern Wa. is so opposite what all the rest of you girls are getting....kind of unreal. Last year at this time we had between 70-80" of snow, depending on what day it was....this year I think we've had a total of 11", the most at one time, at least here, was 4". We've not had too much rain, and this week it's been fairly dry, and even a bit mild for us, one day reaching 50 degrees. Looks like we have some changes coming next week, we're not out of the clear yet!!! Stay warm, stay dry, and stay outta the mud and slime!!
