Nope... not yet anyway. I haven't even gotten to my treadle I've been busy with so much other stuff.

well...last wknd i finally brought home a red eye in good condition with a great table with 7 drawers! and I cleaned one of my sphinx with vibrating shuttle and gave it it's own space in my living room. Yesterday I bought 4 brass knobs that were original to a lotus cabinet that currently has some butt ugly ceramic knobs in country blue from the 80s on it. So as soon as they arrive, I will be puttin em on that one. hmmmm...what else?!!! Just still organizing my new sewing room...I just need some enthusiasm for the last 25%.

Pictures are a must once you get that room near to "finished" . My Sphinx has copper knobs. I didn't realize it until I unscrewed them and started to clean them up~they were so tarnished.
Sewed on it today too! Finished up a polar fleece kitty bed~finally got the pattern & procedure down to what I wanted.

I need advice! This one is pretty close to me - please look at ebay id 300168931845 and see what you think! I could drive and get it no problem. :)

yep..i think that one is swell..and the belt that needs replacing only costs 9 or 10 bucks....and is easily replaced...takes less than 5 minutes, even for a first timer. I would bid up to $170 on it and not more than that. That actually is pretty high...but I have come close to that on that one and always lost. coffin tops are very cool!

1895 according to the Singer site.
I'm not certain, but it looks to be a vibrating shuttle, and
if it is, those bobbins shown aren't for that machine.(they look to be for both a 66 & 15 size) Ask them if the boat shuttle
is in the bobbin area beneath the slide plate, as if it's missing, it's about worthless
unless you can locate one to fit it.
You can get replacement bobbins for a shuttle easily, but not the actual shuttle housing.
Otherwise, looks to be a great old Sphinx!

if it is just the bullet casing that is missing, those are fairly easy to find

It's got to fit your Singer model though.
I've never found a 2nd spare one for my Minnesota.
They are all unique to the machine brand. http://members.aol.com/maus1for0/NEEDLEWORKSshuttlechart

Awesome, that will save you the hefty shipping cost and
possible damage.

Yeah, I'm seeing several treadles in my area under $100 on Craig's List lately,
but I can't justify anymore treadles. Wish I knew someone local that wanted one.
