I ordered a half apron made from a repo-vintage towel from Colonial Patterns - it was on sale - to embroider with "Wild Bread". I don't have a pattern but how hard would it be to draw the letters. I don't wear half aprons but I do like the way they look hanging. The apron should be here on Saturday so I can work on it next week.

Very cute idea, Sara!! It will look splendid in the Yellow rose Cottage!!

A few days ago, I decided to make a few "cookie" ornaments with the cookie cutters my Mom used to make sugar cookies every Easter when I was young. They are sewn with a quilt batting in between the layers to make them more plump. I like the way they turned out so I hung them on my little everything tree for Spring along with a few eggs, chenille carrots and old little chickens that we used to have in our baskets that came from Woolworths every Easter. The bunnies remind me of mocha marshmallows for some reason!!

I purchased the garland many years ago but it would be simple to make. It is just a jute string with little styrofoam covered balls all in fabric and then strung together. It would be easy to make and fun to create ones with colors that you wish for a project.

I started keeping my "everything" tree up over a decade ago. I got the idea from one of the fall Gooseberry cookbooks that always has little tips and ideas for the season. One entry was about a woman who started making an everything seasonal tree and loved it. Immediately, I was on board as I love the various holidays and the little tree is an easy way to make the room festive 365 days a year. There is something special about the little lights turned on at night any time you wish to have some extra brightness and coziness.

Love your tree Winnie! So prim! I love prim!

Well I'm continuing to focus on completing some way overdue UFOs. But, a girl can only do so much before it's time to start a new project. I went shopping on the primitive gatherings website and bought myself a kit to complete a holiday table topper in wool.

I just love how it turned out!

I need to take a break from hand work. My left forearm and wrist is hurting. So, I decided to tackle a quilt project where all the blocks had been pieced Feb 2017 (hum, not that old. I do have older tops). It was just a question of sewing the blocks together to create the top. The blocks measure 4 1/2" finished.

I just have the borders to sew and it will be ready for loading on Penelope.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments. I truly have been quite focused on finishing some quilting UFOs. I guess you can say that I'm proud of myself. I finished this quilt, started in 2009. Only the blocks were done.

Strangely, it is the same block as Stardust! I guess I like that block in reproduction fabrics! lol

It is now machine quilted and the binding has been sewn on.

For those interested, you can read about the project on my blog: http://www.carolesquiltingetc.com/2018/03/play-date-with-penelope.html

Oh, I'm kind of proud that I have been keeping up with blogging! lol

Catch you all later!

Thanks everyone for your kind comments. I finished another project. It's called scrappy trails.

It has since been machine quilted!

I found two UFOs that were not listed! Seems like I am not reducing my numbers! Oh well. It will be nice when I finish most of my UFOs.

Finally, after such a long time I found some minutes to work on a binder I have been putting together of my Farm girl things.
I will get pictures later and post but mostly it holds all the information on badges and the ones I've accomplished so far. Not many but I will soon be working on them. It has our info sheets for the hen house and anything else farm girl related. I decorated some of the pages. The front of the notebook is decorated too. Now I have everything in one place and I feel much more organized. I have a place for the RAOK list from the main forum and also a place to keep track of the swaps I may be in. I just wanted to make it something I would enjoy using.

Denise, this is a really good idea to organize the MJF activities! I sort of have mine in a notebook, but it is not well organized and needs some real work to make it more than just a repository!! LOL!! What I appreciate about your idea is that the material becomes useable and easily accessible. As a result, it allows you to keep important information together and organized. You are motivating me to do something similar with my jumbled up collection of my own MJF materials!!
