LOL! I agree with no pink - I never had pink. I had harvest gold appliances years back; I think I may also have had avocado green in another lifetime. I'm glad now for white, black and SS.

The washer repairman has come and gone. Apparently it was the computer; re-set itself overnight; and worked for him. He ran it through several cycles. Told me that washer computers are like our personal ones and sometimes just un-plugging and letting them sit for 10 minutes they will work. He did look at me a little funny when I said "I guess kicking it wouldn't work". Todays visit is good for a month so if I have to call him back there's no service charge.

He told me he had a call out because a woman said her knobs didn't move. He explained to her that knobs no longer move - the lights tell you what the washer is doing. Bless her heart she had a service charge just to be told her knobs don't move.

I had to laugh reading about unplugging it and then plugging it back in.... The airplane my hubby works on is like that... you literally at times just need to turn it off and then back on and it fixes it!!!! Blows my mind!!!

Our living room tv went off when it was six months old. I called and the lady asked if I had unplugged it. I am glad I remembered, finally, so I can bake again.

I hear you Carole! Seems there is always something when you own your own business. Constantly trying to keep up with everything.

Linda, I say go for it! Call the Better Business Bureau too. There is no excuse for not getting what you've paid for. Hope you didn't pay him in cash. Take pictures and take him to small claims if you have to. He needs to finish the job right or give that percent of the money back!

Hope you all are having a great day. Babysitting while momma went out with the other 2 girlies to see a movie.

I'm enjoying the cool morning and planning my day. The big to-do is to mop all floors. Mopping is way down on the list of things I like to do. In-between mopping I plan to piddle and do a little embroidering.

Good morning everyone! Today is both a new day and a new school week. I have high hopes and gran plans for them both :) The kids do not seem nearly as excited about it all as I am, but hopefully I can convince them all of it is good ;)

Nice morning, still no landscaper here, though. And we leave next week for a week and a half.

Good luck with your mopping, piddling, and embroidering, Sara.

I'm sure your kids will love the school week, Shannon.

Sara, I agree, mopping is not my favorite either. It might not be so low on my list if I felt like it did any good. It seems that as soon as it is dry, anywhere from one to six people come through as well as two or three little dogs and a kitty. It seems hopeless.

I agree - as soon as I vacuum or mop, the cat fur flies down and covers the wood floors again.

Mopping is not my favorite either especially when your mop is not to great. I have one of those twisty kind. it really doesn't clean that well, must get string one.

Have a good day embroidering Sara.

Enjoy the day Shannon, Linda, Sara and Marilyn.

On bathroom tile is cream, but the grout is white, and SO hard to keep clean.

Good Morning Everyone! It's a beautiful day today and I think I actually have time to work on the little wall shelf I bought in the spring at a Flea Market. My DH just got his sander and sand paper for me to use. I sure don't like the color and design it has. Brown and a yellow sort of cream zig zag pattern. It's going to become either white or pale lavender or maybe both colors. Thinking about using a doily or some old lace as a stencil on the sides.

Does anyone have a mop they especially like? I need a new mop, haven't purchased one in quite a while because I only have the kitchen to mop. The one I have is beginning to fall apart and doesn't do that great of a job. Especially around the baseboards and doorway. It has a brush attached on one side that is too high for it to go I under the counters or close to the wall. I use to do it with a rag and on my knees, but age.....ya'll know what I mean. LOL

So sorry to read about the troubles with landscaping and cars and appliances. Hope everyone has a Great Day free of troubles.

Farm Girl Hugs,
Brenda

I'm been waiting for the third thing to go wrong in my house. First the oven heating coil, then the washer, and today my laptop. It crashed while I was surfing the net for Scandinavian recipes. Called computer guy - he told me to take out battery & restart it - it worked. So if the old saying "bad things come in 3s" is right I'm in the clear for now.

I played it safe after re-starting my computer and ordered a Scandinavian cookbook from Amazon.

Sorry to hear about your computer, Sara. I have computer problems, too. I bought a new laptop in March (I think) and have not been able to use it. Living in the country, there are not many options for Internet providers. I have a DSL provider that I need to keep a home phone to use. Well, the new laptop is faster than the old one and I guess it is too fast, because the slow slow speed I get with my DSL ("because I am at the end of the line" according to my provider) keeps throwing my new laptop off. So - I have been using my old laptop and now on it the screen goes all black or all white and I get a message saying the display driver malfunctioned but is back on. GRRR! I think I need to do a backup so I don't lose everything on this old one.

Have fun with your Scandanavian cookbook, Sara.

I've been battling dizziness and upset tummy for 2 days - I think due to a medication I'm taking for my arthritis. If it isn't one thing it is another.
