I am done! I made 40... so I can still go either way. But I was going to wait until I get a final number before I bag them and label. If I do say so myself, they are really cute. So far this is the easiest, quickest and cheapest swap I have ever been in. I also have picked out my hostess prezzies too.

So where do I send them? And how much do I owe you?

I'm gonna back out. This looks fun but with school winding down I don't want to commit to it right now.

(again, i'm on twice to keep us even.)

Please plan to ship your clothespins to me so that they arrive no later than June 15th.

Kindly email me your contact info so I can begin preparing the outgoing boxes. I'll reply with my address so that those of you who are done (sheesh!!) can ship your items early. I'll have the mixed packages out as soon as I have all of the finished clothespins in house. My hope is we can hang our first line of farmgirl laundry in time for the summer solstice.

CindyLee and willowtree, I'm sorry you can't join us this time. Maybe next time...?

Let me know what questions you may have, ladies! I am SO excited!

Thanks, all!

Live joyfully, deliberately, simply, abundantly.

Sharon!

Your name not appearing in the clothespin swap is TOTALLY an oversight on my part! Just let me know which group you want to join and I will plug you back in! The internet at the house isn't working so I am "sneaking" on from work. I sometimes move so fast while I'm sneaking that I end up missing things.

I apologize! Please, please, please just let me know if you want to make 18 or 36 and I'll plug you back in.

I'm so sorry! =(

I have a question which my husband raised the other night while watching me work on my clothespins.

He was asking why we wanted to paint clothespins as we would only get paint on our wet clothes. I told him I was planning to use some kind of a varnish or finish on mine.

What is everyone using to finish their clothespins?

If you use gloss acrylic it needs no finish and will not mark up you clothes. Just my experience. I have not made all of mine yet, so who knows if I will use paint on them at all.

I didnt paint mine for that reason.... I wasnt sure what paint would work and what paint would bleed on clothes... I would hate to get red paint on someones good linens.

I painted my with craft latex paint, but I also sprayed them with matt finish sealer.
I tested one, & it did not leave any paint on the towel.

Think I'll stick to the top part for decorating. I was wondering about leaving marks. That would just be too awful.

OK, if it won't mess things up, I'll stay in at 18...
Sharon
PS Didn't mean to sound like a whiner, I just thought it would be easier out if "teams" had been made. I'm VERY happy to stay in.

Kim, Yay! I finished mine today too, and sent an e-mail to request info. I had so much fun. I kept mine on the natural side too... I don't trust my crafting skills enough to risk someone's laundry. I'd end up wet to the elbows with shellac, feathers, glitter...and sticky clothespins glued to my overalls. :) I have great respect for the talent of others.

Kristina, thanks so much for doing this. I hadn't thought how much fun it can be to add a little something to clothespins. There are so many simple ways to spread smiles while doing chores that I often overlook. What a fun idea this has turned out to be!

We make a difference.

(Happy dance) While I was waiting, I made 18 more. It's an addiction! So, if it helps even out our numbers I'd love to send 36!

On pg. 6 KitchenWitch asks us to e-mail her with our contact info and she'll respond with the particulars of where and how to send.

We make a difference.

Michelle,
you silly goose, save some of that happy dance for us too! LOL!
Aren't these fun? simple, easy & also a fun thing to add with other swaps.... tuck 2 in with an apron or dish cloths or ???? I can just see it now, an apron gently blowing in the breeze held on the clothes line by cute handcrafted clothpins.

I really, really hate to do this, but I'm going to have to back out of the swap. I'm going out of town for 2 weeks with my sister from MI and then I found out that after that, my brother and his wife are coming in from CA so I'll be at my parents house with everyone for another week. I'm leaving in a couple of days and just won't have time for the swap this time around. Again, I'm really, really sorry, I hope this doesn't mess things up.

Jan, we'll just have to put you in time out. Life does get busy. Maybe you can make it smaller/simpler? Like writing snippets of conversation on them? Or gluing bits of map? Or writing fleeting impressions of what you're doing? Just clip a few to your shirt and see what happens.

Of course, you know your own time and limits. I'm sad to see you go, but I know in my life there are times I've had to limit how far I intended to stretch too. Do have a great time out of town with your sister!

We make a difference.
