LOL Cindy......I had just cleaned out my laundry room and collected a huge bag of clothespins out of there.....Also had some things cleaned out and ready for crafting, so I was able to connect the dots really easy on this swap. Usually it takes me forever!!!!!

Okay, I've been waffling long enough. Please count me in on the clothespin swap, and once you get the details "ironed out", let me know. :) It is a fun idea.

We make a difference.

Approx. how many do you think we need to make each. I'll need to figure out if I'll have enough time or be overwhelmed. Let me know. Thanks.

Your fellow farmgirl, Amy!

God bless, ya'll!

I think they put together pretty quickly. Also, lowes menards and home depot have all different kinds of clothespins.

I'd like to be part of the swap. I was holding back until some of the details were figured out. I'll keep checking back. Thanks

Well, as things are starting to get more hectic around here than I was hoping for I am going to have to end up bowing out of this. And I was so looking forward to it. Oh well, maybe another time.

Yea, I found the clothes pins, go figure, @ JoAnns Craft store. I bought 2 packs, the old fashion slid on ones & the pinch/clip type. Now to decide which ones to use.
I will work on them this week end.
They came 24 to a pack so I will deco that many. Just need to know how many to send for the swap.
Ladies, do you prefer the old fashion slid on type or the pinch/clip type? let me know.

Buttercup,
Thanx, you are a gem....
I get so excited when ever I have an excuse to "play" in my craft room.
The only kind of crafting I am not good at is the 'Donna Dewberry One Stroke' painting... I took several classes & failed horribaly....my "butterflies" look like drunken moths on shore leave!!!LOL! And all I can say is, Thank goodness my real garden flowers don't look like my painted version! But, don't worry, I won't be painting butterflies or flowers on the clothes pins!!!LOL!

Oh my GOODNESS you ladies have been busy while I was away!

First off, let me apologize for not resurfacing on the board sooner. While I warned y'all I'd be out for a few days at training, I couldn't have warned you about the second part: one of our dogs nearly died. The last few days have been completely consumed with either work or recovery efforts for our precious baby, so I wasn't able to check in like I'd hoped. Our girl is better now so I'm finally back. Again, sorry!

So, to the business end of things. By my count, we are now up to 17 swappers! In addition, levisgrammy, sunshine, and cmandle have had to gracefully decline as their schedules have grown too hectic. (Hey, I can relate!) So, active participants include:

1. simplerlife1773
2. kim
3. aunt george (who is finished?! are you KIDDING me?! WOW!)
4. EmmJay
5. BotanicalBath (and welcome!)
6. ktknits
7. katmom
8. cindylee
9. sleepless reader
10. bluewrenn
11. willowtreecreek
12. smoothiejuice
13. rosiegirl
14. buttercup
15. huckelberrywine
16. owwlady
17. kitchenwitch

I remain in the camp that we should shake things up by sharing our creations across the swap. So, everyone sends their clothespins to me. I'll then organize the clothespins for each swapper and ship them out again. I actually have a little "in" on the shipping. Believe it or not, my company ships so much stuff out that we get an enromous discount with UPS. It sometimes costs as much to send something USPS priority mail as it does to send it next day air with UPS! I'll look into it to let everyone know exactly what cost to expect.

So, if we make two clothespins per swapper that's 34 pins. That's a lot of clothespins to paint or glue. Since many of us are pressed for time and limited in our resources, why don't we split the swap in two groups of nine with each group making two clothespins for each swapper (for a total of 18 clothespins)? I can happily serve as the "duplicate" entry on the second list as I know I can make 36, no problem.

Can I ask that all of you confirm by midnight pacific time Sunday night that, yes, you would still like to be included if we split and do 18 each?

Let me know...

Thanks, everyone!

Live joyfully, deliberately, simply, abundantly.

I am still in & can do 18 or 36 which ever you need.
Tomorrow is a field trip to the P.O. day to mail off another MJF swap item & then I have 2 B-day gifts to make (decoupage) and then I will have to lock my furbabies out of my craft room or else I will have clothes pins all over the floor. They think the bag of pins is for them.
So tomorrow my glue gun will be working overtime! I can hardly wait!
