Linda, your quilt project sounds like fun! Hopefully it will keep you busy while hubby is gone.

Grace, your yoyo tree is so cute. I'm so sorry to hear about your neighbors fire. I'm glad it was caught before hitting their home. UT super sad they lost their chickens.

Karen, it's totally fine lol! It's a funny new name. Gave me a laugh!

I needed a quick project to hurry and whip up for my son's other teacher. She has her whole classroom decorated in bees, so I thought it would be cute to make her a tiny one.

Now just to finish a crochet pillow gift before Christmas. My fingers are getting tired lol!

Krista that bee is sweet. Unfortunately the crocheting gene skipped me. Today is a snow day so I'm lounging at home and hand quilting this twin blanket. It's 0 degrees outside and even our husky mix Rose can only stand a short time outside.

I made these two fun pillows but Holly Molly… have you checked out the price of Ball Fringe? $4.99 per yard at Joann’s Fabrics… and each pillow required 2 1/4yard!
Thank goodness I had repurposed some old thrift store finds,, table cloths are a great source for fringe to recycle!
That’s where I sourced my Ball Fringe.

Call me frugal, call me cheap.. but don’t call me late for dessert! Heeheehee!

I have made several of these this year. I want to make more for next year. They sell pretty well in the Art Shoppe. I have several patterns.

I am cleaning up Christmas stuff!! LOL!!! Not very inspiring compared to what you all are doing, but i have some ideas rumbling about in my brain and hope to get to those soon. I love decorating for all the holidays but hate having to take things down. My strategy is to do it in small bites so I have time to go through everything carefully and make sure I pack it in the right place in case I want to look at something during the year. Anyone else started the holiday putting away?

Since we were on a cruise through Dec 11, I didn't completely decorate for Christmas this year. All I put up were the prelit Christmas tree with only lights (the box is now in the living room and it will come down tomorrow), 2 Christmas quilts on the beds, another quilt in the living room, 2 quilted table toppers, 7 stockings, Elf on a Shelf, chair covers, a 3-foot vintage-looking santa, and 2 Gingerbread houses my mother made (1 cross-stitched and 1 needlepoint), and a battery-operated cat that reads The Night Before Christmas. I hope to put all away in the next few days.

Working on the quilt for my guild swap is top on my list of to-dos. The Dallas Mavericks quilt I made for my new grandson who is due on February 15 (unless he makes an appearance sooner) is at the longarm quilter and I will pick it up at our meeting on January 12; then I will have 11 day to put on the binding because the shower is on January 14th.

Winnie, I too hate cleaning up and putting away all the decorations. I really didn't do much this year but still. Thankfully DH helps a lot.

Finished the two hats and pillowcase:

Lovely projects ladies. I think I am ready to start back at crafting again after this week. Just need some time to recoup from the holiday crafting.

All these handmade projects sure are turning out cute! Are they for specific gifts?

Linda, WOW, for a decreased decorating this year, it sounds like you did a lot! How wonderful to have your beautiful Christmas quilts and other quilted accessories to brighten up your home!!

Nancy - this is an "anything" area for stitching and crafting. Go ahead and post your chalk paint project here.

There is also a "What are you working on" thread you can post in.
