Yes, levisgrammy, I got the baby blanket finished. Sadly, the little person went to be with the Lord before she got here.

I saw that Jessie. So sad. The Lord has one in mind for that blanket I'm sure.

OK, Denise - to make the pot savers I had a set I bought and I traced them as a pattern. I use two pieces of fabric right sides facing out (denim, cotton, or whatever) with a layer of cotton quilt batting in between them. Then I pin the pattern to the "sandwich" and stitch around the edge. Then I trim outside the stitching with pinking shears. Ouila! They are done. I make them in 2 sizes.

Here is a picture of one of mine I made; the green is a new one I got and I may use it for a pattern without the cutouts. I make them about 8-1/2" and 11-12" in diameter for saucepans and fry pans. Many you can buy are only like one layer of felt - not enough for protection IMHO.

I so love everyone's projects! I need to get going for the holidays, but... My heart hasn't been ready to do so yet.

This is my current project, an afghan... Helps to crochet away my anxieties.

Thanks Linda! You are so creative!

Cute snow globes! Perfect project this time of year Jean

April your Afghan is beautiful and looks so soft.

Been working on organizing my craft/sewing stuff. Most of it is still in the moving boxes.

It's just been so busy here at LaCasa Brown..
Doing winter clean up around the property has been keeping hubby and me super busy not to mention attending grandkids track meets and other stuff...
Today I needed a break...from being an adult... So I played with fabric... Great therapy...

I made two little Hedgehog ornaments.. I just need to get 4 Holly leaves then I can finish them.
As some of you know from my post on Facebook, I just finished up making 17 pet aka dog and cat blankets from repurposed quilts and quilted pillow shams..

I will be dropping the blankets off on Friday to our local No Kill animal rescue.
Hopefully I will be able to make a bunch more.
Well tomorrow back to work...

Well, dang and double dang!!! Murphy is alive and well here in Deary, Idaho. Wouldn't you know I'm in the middle of the Christmas gift making push and my embroidery machine decides to go kaput on me. Boo Hoo!! Repair turnaround is 2-3 weeks!! Yikes!! Well I guess I will have to rethink my gift giving this year. At least I have my other sewing machine so I can work on UFO's. I have two quilt tops to finish on my list of to do's. So it will be good to get them done. OK, that's my Monday Rant. Have a nice rest of the week farmgirls.

I hate when a machine gets tired and decides to quit - always right in the midst of an important project or deadline. Sorry repairs are going to take such a long turnaround time.

Oh wow everyone has been so busy!

Jean, I love that image! I’m pretty sure that’s how my brain looks! I also love your ornaments. They are so dang cute.

April, your afghan colors are beautiful and it looks so cozy.

Grace, your hedgehogs are so cute! And your so sweet to make all those blankets for the shelter. They will be some spoiled dogs and cats!

This last week I finished my Halloween corner to corner hanging. I wasn't able to enjoy it for long before Halloween was here, but I'll be able to hang it up early next year!

I finished my October class project in time for class Wednesday. I wanted this one to have a February theme. It's 15 inches square.
