Oh Theresa, that bracelet will be gorgeous! Are you going to use the same colors? Good luck with the new challenge.

I can see how the brown bracelet is made. I will have to look for a pattern.

I haven’t been doing much crafting lately. School is starting for my kids next week and it has been super stressful. My oldest will now be in Kindergarten and I don’t know if my mommy heart can handle it. And now Everleigh will be starting preschool so all my kids are in school. How are they old enough yet?? So I know I need to dig out some crochet or cross stitch to distract my mind until then lol!

Go figure, it took me an hour to make and over a week to finish... Lol!
Oh well, at least it's not a UFO! Haha!

Those turned out so cute Grace! I feel you on being happy it didn’t turn to a UFO because most of my stuff does lol! One of these day I might get caught up, I doubt it, but maybe.

What cute trees!

I don't have so much of an unfinished project problem - it's more of an unstarted project problem LOL!!

I finally took charge of my UFOs. Here is my process:

1) Find the UFOs: Look in all the nooks and crannies in which I have them stashed.
2) Perform a physical inventory: Write every project on a list noting its type, where it will be stored, how much needs to be done to finish it, craft technique, etc
3) Make a spreadsheet: Include all the information needed to help decide which will be worked on next.
4) Sort the spreadsheet: This will put the information in the best possible order. Sorts can be by type, resources needed, technique, time to finish, etc.
5) Select a project and get it done.

I made the spreadsheet in October 2020. The spreadsheet has helped me finish 4 of the 92 projects I have stored just in my apartment's living space. I can't get to the ones in storage because Lowell stored his electronic drum set ON TOP of everything I had so carefully organized. GRRRRR! This may seem sparse however the sense of accomplishment as I move a project from the "working on" spreadsheet to the "finished" spreadsheet is valuable.

It works for me.

Good for you, Marie. I have had a list like that of over 110 projects. I think I know where the list is in my computer. LOL! I made it years ago. Sometimes putting the list in a prominent place helps accomplish tasks. I guess I need to do that again - unfortunately, many of my projects are larger quilt projects: some just need binding, some are in kit form, some I have fabric and no pattern, some are partially cut out and sewn, etc. And I have no place to store new quilts as I finish them. GRRRRRR! And not enough walls to hang wallhangings on. What to do ...

Heather -- Sometimes I have that "unstarted" problem too. I buy what is necessary to make a project and then don't get around to it. Last week I came across the wooden rings and jute to make a macrame plant hanger. The plant died a long time ago, probably from old age while waiting for its hanger.

Same here Heather and Judith. I find so many things I want to make and get all the supplies and never start. There are just way to many cute things calling my name.

I am not organized enough to make a spreadsheet and if I did, knowing me,, I'd probably misplace the sheet!!!
I did finally go through and purged/ donate some unopened kits that I knew I would never get around to.. I have also realistically dismantle some just started but will never get around to projects, placing the fabric back in the stash...
It is hard to let go, but equally freeing to let go! Thank goodness for Wine to help me get through it! LolOLOL!!

Grace, I’m with you on that. I would lose my spreadsheet as well. I would probably lose it somewhere in the UFO pile lol! Maybe I should have someone come organize for me.

Krista - have you thought about crocheting an Advent Calendar for your kids? Could be done in pieces and they wouldn't even know what you were making. Then put it together when they are asleep. Different patterns on Pinterest. Here's one that is cute:

Linda, I actually started making one last year but didn’t finish it in time. I actually still haven’t finished it. I don’t have a lot left so I better just finish it. It’s actually the 3rd picture from your second link!
