Heather I like that idea. Thank you. I will have to check out The unfinished wood section now. Also, your apron is adorable. The cow turned out so cute.

Debbie, your August round looks good!

I finished the wall hanging for my brother's baby. My brother is pretty excited and can't wait to hang it in the babies room.

Heather - Love the apron. I bought a men's shirt to do that with quite a while ago, and now I'm not quite sure where it is after the move a year ago. LOL! It may be hanging with Ed's shirts, I'll have to go look.

Jean - cute foot rest, but that's a LOT of yarn. I would give up vefore I got it done. LOL!

Debbie - Great round ATC.

Krista - Love the Deer Wallhanging.

Thank you Linda.

Judith, it’s actually crochet. Done in the corner to corner style. I found the free pattern. Let me know if you want me to send it to you.

Krista -- Is it something a beginner can do? So far I can't follow patterns or count stitches worth a darn.

I've seen the stitch before but have never done it. I don't think it is too hard.

Corner to Corner crochet is not difficult. It requires knowledge of the slip, chain and double crochet. The work starts in a corner and is worked along the diagonal if square or the hypotonus if triangular. More and more yarn is required with each pass. The shape can be reduced to make a square or a rectangle.

Here are some videos:

Judith, I believe a beginner can do it. And the lady who wrote the pattern writes it out step by step so that should help you as well. Maybe even a corner to corner video can help you understand the concept. I actually really enjoy making corner to corners. Let me grab the link for you and you can see if it's something you would like to do! Also I can help you with any questions you have.

I forgot to share my recent project. I have been working on a Harry Potter cross stitch bookmark. I purchased it awhile ago but really haven't had a chance to work on it. I'm excited to see how it's coming along and can't wait to have it completed.

Thank you Krista for the link to the pattern. I copied it and hope to give it a try some stormy winter day, which can't come soon enough.

Jean, I use to have that pattern also. Lent it out and never saw it again. I agree the onion slice was awesome! Every once in a while I go out looking for it, but to no avail.

Still working on the butterfly quilt, but am making progress. I think I'm about 80% done hand quilting the whole cloth part so am getting excited to start putting on the butterflies.

Starting learning micro macramé. Only work on it when I'm sick of quilting so it is taking a long time to finish anything. LOL But I keep at it.

Oh Judith, your little quilt is a delight. What is it's size? Can't tell from the photo. I love the star within the spool.

It's 15.5 square. Not entirely happy with a few chopped off points but I've stopped being a perfectionist at least until I have the cataract surgery.

While tidying up the shelves in the garage, I came across some 'stuff' I saved for what ever reason... and decided it now was the time to
be creative,,, so,,, here ya go,, an saved hole punched tin candle jar shade, some tarnished silver plate spoons and a tin coin dish plus a few scronged up beads...

Maybe I should tidy up the garage shelves more often... lol!
