My happy note is last Friday my front porch ceiling was finally painted blue. This Friday the deck will be painted grey. Happy FarmGirl here!

A porch that color would make me Happy too!! Enjoy, Sara!

My happy note for today is a nice gentle rain outside. It brings down those high temps, and just keeps us cool and green.

Congratulations on the porch--there is nothing better than sitting out on the porch. My husband and I just finished screening in a portion of our deck behind the house, and we have a twin bed for slow summer naps and our sweet kitties can now explore outside without any danger. Thanks for sharing your good news.

Have a beautiful day

My happy note today, as I was getting an infusion, I used the time putting buttons on extenders for masks, one of the nurses taking care of me walked in wearing an extender I had asked someone to place in the common area.

After having completing the steps in the process, Thursday marked the final step. I was invited to sit for an interview by a panel. At the end of the interview, I was to that I would be sent to the waiting room and they would come back to let me know their decision. When they returned I was informed that I was being granted my license to be a Lay Minister for 5 churches in Monroe county.

My happy note is we sold a refrigerator within 2 days of putting it on FB marketplace. We had bought a smaller one for just two of us and the other has been sitting in my dining room for months. The other happy thing, I have this wonderful open space in the dining room again.

My happy note is we had our church life group over for a social distancing cookout & campfire in our yard 2 nights ago. I sorely missed meeting with friends.

Thank you Grace.
Denise, isn't reclaimed space wonderful. I am doing this with weeds on our farm.
Deb, I really like that idea. I may borrow that to use when we meet together in our sanctuary.

Terri, Yes! Reclaimed space is fantastic and I have been doing a lot of it lately with downsizing.

Happy note today, I got to see my daughter for a little visit last night and the other happy note is I awoke with much less pain in my lower back and leg today. Now to just keep moving.

I just watched a very large female turtle exit my yard, cross the street and 'jump' into the lake off the seawall. I'm on a hunt for a nest (is that what they call where turtles lay eggs?) I'd love to watch baby turtles hatch - and keep my dog away from them!

Deb,
Seeing something like that is special. They dig a hole and lay their eggs in the ground. Then, bury them. I have only ever found remnants of hatched turtles. Yes, you know your dog would love to find them! Nature is so much fun to watch!

Keep shining!

My happy for today is we got to visit with all our children and grandchildren on Father's Day for the first time in over 3 months. We were very happy and it was a truly wonderful and fun day watching them run and play and just be able to enjoy a nice meal with everyone. We are truly blessed.

Deb, that sounds so exciting. I saw an eagle flying overhead as I drove to town last week. They are so beautiful.

Happy today my garden grows! Two months behind the norm due to the Pandemic! But I love seeing the growth today! Also I invested in some Mary Jane books and that is a treat!

Vicki, great news that your garden is thriving and treating yourself to MJF books - you will enjoy them and find they are a good resource for all things FarmGirl.

My happy note is I only had to water a few plants this morning.

Hi Vicki,
My garden is a bit behind as well and I am planting some peas today, Mom just found the seeds for me. I was late in the planting for other reasons but it is so neat to see plants up and thriving slowly. Even if it means needing to go weed today.
Have a great day.
Hugs

I am so happy that my garden is growing and thriving, but especially that I have two baby hummingbirds that are enjoying all the flowers.

Jana, how sweet! I don't know if I've ever seen baby hummingbirds. They must be the size of a nickle.

The baby hummingbirds are more like the size of a quarter and all brown, not the pretty colors yet of their mom that I have been watching for years in my front yard. I am so happy that they survived the squirrels and cats in the area that also frequent my yard. I enjoy watching them flying from plant to plant, usually together, but need a better camera to get some photos.

We have two spotted little fawns roaming about the place with two does who visit under the pear and apple trees to get a bite. Blackberry harvest is pretty much done, and runs to the farmers market is a wrap for this season. The fireworks were fun to watch from the front porch, and we escaped a skunk. Happy!

Keep shining!

Natalie, I think their cousins were on my farm today. Two fawns frolicking about my garden this morning under the watchful eyes of their Mom, she was munching on the branch of an apple tree I had knocked out of the tree when I was mowing yesterday.( The roll bar on Mom's tractor is a bit higher than I had planned when I went near that tree.)
