Thank you, Kelly and CJ. It is nice having something she made. I've also got some of her Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls.

Thank you, Grace. I did work on the baby afghan today. I hope to get more done on it tonight and tomorrow.

Linda, you have been busy, busy, busy! I love the pillowcases and the quilt is lovely.

Oh my word! Linda,, how wonderful to be able to finish and cherish a quilt of your mothers...
and you have been quite busy! Awesome!
Continue to keep us motivated...

I spent part of the day cleaning up my yarn stash... and actually made headway... and am now working on finishing up a small afghan that was started by one of my mother's dear friend who lost her battle (the friend)with cancer... so I am finishing up the afghan and will donate it to 'Covers of Love', the group I belong to that crochet/knit/quilts for children and elderly in need. I should (I hope) have it finished by tonight... unless I get distracted. Who Me? lol!

Whoot Whoot... 1st one Done!
This sweet afghan was started by a friend of my mom,, the friend lost her battle with cancer... and my mom ended up with the unfinished small afghan... so she gave it to me a couple of years ago... I finished adding the last row of blocks and edging... so now it will go to "Covers of Love" the group I belong to that makes afghans & quilts for children and elderly in need of comfort.
Paying it forward.

I also finished up 3 cotton crochet washcloths for my grandkiddos... and started (started, tore out several times) another crochet afghan for covers of love...

I have to be honest,,, thou I don't wish to set a 'number' or goal of how many UFO's I will complete this year,,, my 'warm fuzzy' thought is hopefully I will finish 1 a month... even if it is just a small project like hemming a pair of jeans that have been in the 'repair' pile for over a month.. every little bit makes me feel like I have made a dent, gotten a step closer to tackling my UFO stash.
Wish me Luck!

The stitch in those blocks is really interesting. I am not certain I have seen it before.

I haven't been given for what I have completed yet.

Marie,, the design is actually made up off small "granny sq" type blocks. that are stitched together to create the design...
I think I still have the pattern tucked away... I can dig it up if you want it...

Bonnie,, yep, this was truly an "Orphan" project...

Oh Miss Grace, please add me in on this UFO list! I'm going to try to set reasonably reachable goals for myself. After all these year of being off my rocker I thought I'd give "reasonable" a try :) Here's a start to my list:
Daughter's shawl
Granddaughther's sweater
Cousin's new grandbaby hat and sweater
Sweater coat for me
Those are all knitting.
Daughter's memory quilt
Vol. 1 of granddaughter's scrapbook
Muslin of shirt and pants for fitting (for myself)
Finish pillows that I've embroidered tops for
Towel toppers for kitchen towels (some knitted, some sewn)
And maybe, just maybe, slipcover sofa and two living room chairs.
Did I say reasonable!?!

Happy Day!
Peace in our hearts, peace in the world

Grace - NO! DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT SEND ME THAT PATTERN! I believe I already have this pattern. I am not overly pleased to be sewing 100+ little granny squares together for an afghan. I like ripple ones MUCH better. <snicker>

Well, I am almost done with my Christmas things so I can start on my ufo's. I finished the curtains for my nephew and a bunch of bowl covers. the kind that you put under the bowl and then warm the bowl in the microwave. I have about 6 more of those to get done and I can move on to the ufo's. I can not wait.

I just love to read other peoples ufo lists!! We all have things we are making for other people. and one or two things for ourselves. I think this is a very generous group!! If anybody ever needs just one thing to finish one of their ufo's, please put it on this list, who knows I may have something you need and it will help me clean up my stash!!
