Vanese, I luv your hexi-quilt! Awesome.. please don't shorten it,,, it is so lovely,,, just by king size bed sheets at your local Thrift,,, launder and use for the backing... as for the batting... maybe you can find a king size blanket or flannel fabric to use...

I spotted a Hexi quilt at an Estate sale 2 months ago,,, only $60, and I could tell from the fabric it was from 1940's-50's ... I was being a bit of a tightwad and passed on it... oh how I wish I had bought it... darn darn darn..

The canvas is dry rotted. We will send it off to get a new one. I plan to paint the newly installed table, and sandwich a highway map between it and a clear plastic cover. I'm dreaming of placing business cards of favorite places there too. Then maybe I'll deco phage travel posters or something on the ceiling and replace the carpet. And the cushions are scratchy orange & brown plaid. It needs a total glam makeover.

Hay there,

I hit the subscribe button!!! I still have lots of UFO's from last year.....including blazing a trail into my special room (still thinking of a good name for that space!?). I guess that adds me to the "list" mentioned above? I need to read back and find out if I did that right.....if I needed to tell someone to add me then please do.

I will be working on my planner today and adding spring/summer ranch dates and garden deadlines.
Then I hope to get to my desk for a bit of writing and blogging....I am waaaay behind.
Treadmill needs to get assembly before I can work on 4 guilts...my personal deadline is to have them done by August 31st.

Wishing ya'll luck with many finishes.

Hugs and prayers, Daizy #1093

Yes they do Grace.... every time I turn around a new UFO shows it's head. hahahaha. Still working on the quilt, but I must say I am making headway. That is a slow one.

I am trying to learn double knitting so I can finish a scarf and hat for my grandson. I've started these and ripped it out several time as I don't like how the back looks. Have to finish this year or he will be too old for it. haha.

Everyone is really moving along. At this rate there should be a ton of finished UFO's this year. Can hardly wait to see the pictures.

Love the card trick blanket. Very pretty. The heart quilt is so sweet.

Well, I think I'll pull the quilt out and work on it for a while. Happy Sunday to everyone!

Argh! I'm feeling like a super under-achiever here! I did finish a heart dish cloth for a swap (no picture, maybe I can get one later). Do I get a smiley face for that?? I'm almost finished a scarf for a little lady at the nursing home, it's part of a badge I'm working on. Just have to add the fringes . . .

Happy Day!

Today my UFO plans include binding on 2 quilts and a MJF dish drainer/microwave bowl potholder set for me. It matches the set I made for MJ last year.

I'm also making some scrappy Arrow Blocks for a swap with my guild and some Snickerdoodle cookies, but those are not UFOs.

I didn't get too much done yesterday mostly because I need to pick up some stuff from the sewing store. I did manage to take apart a little bag which garnered me some fabric and Velcro.

I finished another one of my mother's quilts today - her blue and white one - her favorite colors. All I had to do was put on the binding today. It is UFO #7.

Sign me up again! I'm a little late this year, but I have quite a few things to finish.

Apron patterns cut out that need to be sewn
Cross stitch projects
Half finished paintings
Family tree project
Sweater quilts
Stepping stones to mosaic

And my newest project that I'm so excited about... Spirit dolls!

This was one of my favorite threads last year. I love checking in to post things and see what everyone else has completed!

Here's my first completed project for this year. I made this to make more room on a table in my craft room. I used the pockets from the pants I used for quilts I made for my boys, which I don't think I ever posted, but they were on my UFO list for 2015, and I did get them done before Christmas!

Erin that's a great idea. The re-purposed pockets will hold all kinds of goodies and it looks good too.
