Ruthie... I finally and bravely pulled out my container of "Donna Dewberry" One Stroke Painting stuff... I guess I hadn, t used the paints in quite awhile ... umm to long perhaps .. cuz the paints were in various stages of mud to dry.... even the never opened bottles.. lol!
Yep.. time to toss and seriously move onto another 'crafting project'..that can't dry up! Lolol!

So many pretty things! Love my Farmgirl Sisters and all their talent!! I completed a UFO, but it's not that pretty. I picked up a table ironing board last summer :) and have been going to recover it. I am pleased to announce that it's all covered and the old yucky covering is gone! Yah

Yea Judy... I really need to make one as well,, I have not been to please with the store bought ones,, and I certainly am not pleased with spending twice as much $ for the cover to go over an ironing board that I spent less then 1/2.. lol!
Ruth Ann,,, you have been the busy lil UFO-r.. lol! Congrats on the Blue Ribbons,,, keep that up and you will have to make something with them,,,lol!

My friend sent me a cute pin cushion kit,,, I got it cut out yesterday... but no idea when I will get around to sewing it... Yep,,, future UFO... lol!

Beautiful things, Ruth's, congratulations on your prizes! Judy, ironing board covers are pretty in their own way, right? It must feel really good to have it done. Yes, Grace, you need to make sure you have a future supply of UFO's for sure - hee hee.
I completed two of mine, converting dresses that my granddaughter never wore as a little baby into skirts for her to wear now. I didn't want to spend a lot of time on them, since Miss Lily is now very picky about what she will and will not wear, and completely unlpredictable. So, I tried out a different technique for elastic waists that I learned on Nancy Zieman's blog. It worked great. So here's pictures of the before and afters. My little Lily loves them. :)

Another UFO completed and out of the sewing room....YEAH. I found this little gem in a Goodwill with the stitching already done, but unfinished edges. It's a beautiful piece of linen that probably came out of Grandma's UFO basket. I thought I might honor the maker by finishing here and giving her to a good home. I pulled a thread to square up the edges, did a blind hem all the way around, soaked all the age out of her and hung her on my clothes line. When she is dry I will press her and give her as a gift to my friend Sylvia (shhh, don't tell her). She'll be lovely on a small side table or wherever Sylvia decides to put her.

You would think I was more familiar with Wa., but being on the East side.. i sometime would forget to venture out past Central Wa. Lol!
Aftern they built our Trader Joe 's ( we now have two)... the only reason to go West is for Ikea... lol well that and the camping and Columbia Valley wines... heeheehee!
