Our chocolate is in the refrigerator freezer. He has his and I have mine until I run out of mine. Then, anything left is up for grabs. He got me on the organic dark chocolate habit but I can quit anytime. I just need a little for, you know, a pick me up. Just a taste really.

What I really like are the colorful wrappers which I use for my folded paper stars.

Thank you, Debbie! We have a saying in our family..."at least we don't make no ugly babies." lol. Melody and Ballad have musical parents. (surprise). I tease the parents and say the next one will be little Half Note. They are good sports.

Judith, I love those names! Melody and Ballad, so cute. I named my first Kilian, and my brother and sister used to tease me that I would have two more and name them Jameson and Bailey. I really didn't name him after the beer though. When I was pregnant with him, me and my husband went to Ireland flying standby (I worked for Delta at the time). We got stuck and had to go to Munich Germany to get home. St. Kilian was a missionary to Bavaria so we joked that we followed his path to find our way home, and decided to name our son after him.

That's a cool memory of baby naming, Erin. I have a family that makes fun of unusual names. I think babies grow into their names until they aren't unusual at all.
Today I will work on a matchbox, angel ornament and then back to my Feb. quilt.

Erin,, funny you should mention St. Kilian as we also have a church/cathedral in Heilbronn Germany call "Kilians Kirsch" 'Kilians Church'... it was extensively damaged during the war due to English Forces dropping bombs on the town on Christmas Eve.
It was repaired/built and the interior damage as left as a reminder to all about the horrible/ugly side of War, and hopefully will never happen again.

Judith, sweet babies, and iove the way you framed the pictures. Our chocolate is in a vintage Mickey Mouse jar. We used to keep it on the table in the kitchen until Lily got big enough to reach it. She's a tiny little chocolate fiend, so now it's up so high I can barely reach it!

I finished a sweet little dish cloth for Spring with a little chick design. I've been babysitting and can't post photos. Now I'm going to tackle trying to chart that pesky sweater, as Marie suggested. Learning time! By the way, Marie, your folded stars are gorgeous!

Happy Day!

I'm trying to finish another UFO and I ran out of fabric. I thought I bought enough, but I guess I didn't. But… I have found a JoAnns store that has the fabric now to decide whether to pay to ship it to my store or drive and get it. It's 66 miles away. I need it so I have to do something

Linda, we have the same problem where I live! All of our quilt stores are an hour drive from here and the closest Joann's is a 45 minute drive. When you consider the cost of gas....and stopping for a coffee because, well I just NEED to.....haha....and dealing with traffic, sometimes it's just easier and cheaper to have it shipped to your house. Unless you need it right NOW:)

Linda, so sorry about your problem. fabric stores are far between here too. At least if you go, take a friend along and make an adventure of it. Good luck.

The nearest decent fabric store for me is 75 miles away . . . I'm order online a LOT. The fabric.com site offers free shipping on orders of $35. I usually could find enough fabric to make that so I could get the free shipping.

I took a couple 'portable' UFOs with me to my daughter's this week when I went for a visit. However, I never got to either of them . . . guess we'll have to see. Better think about it before it's garden planting time (May is earliest we can plant around here).

Cold, windy, and wintry today! NOT conducive to outside chores, so I was able to get started on one of my UFO projects!

I opened a lil shop in our local Village, called 'Burlap & Lace"
It is a bit re-cycled/repurposed, a little of this-n-that and a bit of whimsy...
some of the stuff in my shop is hand made by hubby and I, as well as items of vintage nature...
I was pleasantly surprised how well I did last week, when I opened my red doors...
I will have to take some photos and post....
in the mean time, I am opened Thurs-Sat and just for a few hours on Sunday afternoon if I want.
My shop is just 10 x 10 and the enclosed porch is also 10 x 10.. so I can display larger pieces as well as rustic pieces on the porch.
The Village is open from March to Nov...during tourist season.
