My winter will be like Steph's... any day now... until next April. We are enjoying a bit of reprieve; we usually have at least a foot by now. I do love winter, time to hunker in and be cozy. Quilt, read, read. But 7-8 months is long, and working outside in the cold is starting to get hard on this aging body.

hey Shannon, what side of B.C. are you from?
I think I jinxed us up here... last night we got hammered with rains and winds and then 2 rounds of hail last night,(not to mention thunder and lightening), and it got down to 28* in the wee hours of the night... and just 30miles up the road,,, yep! Snow... Hmmm maybe I need to 'wax' the rungs on my 'walker-snowplow! lololol!

We had TONS of rain in the early morning hours on Monday, which turned to snow. It snowed off and on all day here yesterday, with a break and some blue sky in the late morning. By time to go do cow chores it was snowing like crazy again. Then it cleared out and got cold! It's a sunny morning but it's cold and there's a bit of a breeze . . . BRRRRRR!!! Nope, not ready! CJ

Hay there,
\Cute photo...keeps the Grandparents from getting cabin fever!
I guess I'm ready...the rain storms are heading our way then a blast of cold, so they say. I have the hay all ready for cows and nothing is left in the summer garden. I have procrastinated enough now that the winter garden may not get planted at all !! Not enough firewood but I will gather as I go. I would like for fall temps to stick around for a while yet but I doubt it will. I have all my winter projects ready and waiting ... and waiting ... and waiting.
So.....I guess I just don't know if I'm ready or not!?!?!
Hugs and prayers, Daizy #1093 Poor House Farmgirl Chapter {A virtual chapter open to everyone.} A good day is when you find ALL your ear tags! I wonder how my cows would like my Farmgirl apron?? www.poorhouseparadise.blogspot.com |

Well, I just came back from my power walk, which started with helping my hubby move and feed cows. It is a clear, sunny day, but there is a fierce north wind that is forceful and COLD! I walked my 2 1/2 miles anyway, but on the return trip to my house, in a head wind, the gusts stopped me in my tracks a few times and nearly blew my earmuffs right off my head! BRRRRRR!! Nope, I'm not ready! CJ
