Krista,
I am thinking about a stocking. I started one and got stuck so I ripped it out but now I am thinking I will try again.

Question for you all....Do you print out your certificates for your badges? What do you do with them? I was thinking about putting them in my binder, they are so pretty, but I'm thinking they will take a lot of ink so can't decide if I want to. I've about decided to put my badges on an apron. A specific apron just for badges that I'll just wear to farmgirl stuff. I have some fabric that I can print on through my printer but I may look into getting transfer paper and some other type of fabric instead, the printer fabric was expensive!!! Then I will just have to learn to embroider!!!

Krista, Yes, a Christmas stocking.

Sabrina, That is an awesome idea to put them on an apron!

My daughter found this site where you can scan things in and they will put them on items for you. She was thinking of doing something for a gift. I can't say what as she may still do it and the receiver might be on the forum.

Sabrina,
The certificates do take a lot of ink, but I have printed all of mine out and put them in clear sheet protectors in a big three ring binder.
I have put them in order as them are on the list too . . . so I can find them.

Also, Sabrina,
Embroidery is pretty easy and it's a lovely stitchery craft. You'd probably love doing it!

Yes CJ I think I will like embroidery, I sure do like the results others get!! It is something I've wanted to learn for a while, I've dome cross stitch and a tiiiiny bit of black work embroidery. My fear is I'm a perfectionist so will get aggravated with myself when my first attempts arent perfect....I really think I should try a sampler or something before badges....then again I guess I can always re-do the badges if I feel like I've imoroved later. My mom got me a set of tea towels pre-printed with canning jars to be embroidered but I'm afraid to try and mess up in those too!!! I will get there eventually....hopefully soon! Lol

Sabrina, I am the same way. I'm always afraid I will mess it up and I'm super bad about my coloring books! I go buy a coloring book and then never color a picture because I'm afraid I'll make it ugly or use a wrong color! Ha.
I like your idea of putting your badges on an apron.

Awww, it makes my heart hurt to hear how harshly we judge ourselves sometimes. That voice of perfection is always perched on my shoulder during every creative endeavor, but I try hard to ignore it and just love the process. Engaging in activities that you love is good for your brain, your body, and your soul, no matter the outcome. So it's your duty to make beautiful things because it's good for your health!!

Here, here! I agree Krista. It isn't so much the destination as the journey. I love learning new things and if they stump me then I just lay it aside but only for a short period of time and go back to it. If I don't just do it I'll never know if I can or not.

Yes, Kristi, that is so true. I'm a "recovering perfectionist" . . and I'm serious when I say that! I'm a senior citizen and over the years have learned that I need to let go and enjoy! Doing my best and being perfect are TWO ENTIRELY DIFFERENT THINGS!!! Makes life a whole lot more enjoyable and fun!

Very true, Kristi! I know how much better I feel and work when I'm proud of what I'm doing and not being a perfectionist. It's amazing how hard we can be on ourselves and how much it can affect our desire and outcome of the project.
This is why I love working with you ladies! You all make me feel so proud of my work and encourage me to continue on. It helps me to not be so hard on myself. Thank you!

Krista,
At the moment I would guess diaper cover.

I meant to write Kristi in my last post. When I was writing I didn't realize until after that it wasn't Krista who posted.

I agree . . . it's a diaper cover. Especially when you consider you have a new baby boy in your home. :D

Must have taken my picture to late in the game!! Yep! I want to complete the set and make a hat and booties. Once I finish the set I will make another one that looks like a dog. The diaper will have a tail and the hat will have ears. That way I am making a new one on a harder level. My favorite part so far was learning the increases and decreases. Now that I know how I find myself looking at crochet projects and thinking that it all makes sense now!! I love learning all these new tricks!

Oh I'll show pictures, Denise! I am kind of a photoholic! I take more pictures then necessary.

Kristi, yes I am! My little man is now 11 weeks old. Thank you!! I always look forward to nap time so I can work some more on my crochet. I have even had days when I'm tired and could take a nap but will start to crochet. I tell myself just one more row then I'll go lay down. I finish the row and then think oh maybe just one more and another and another!! I never get that nap!
