Ha ha ha! Oh my....
I have now changed my plans on starting with my room. In order to put the camping blankets, supplies and crafts back in the closet, I have to clean up the closet first.

...I'm goin' in.

Some farmgirls may be getting some surprises as I do organize it.

I better get my crafting journal out, and start making a list of all the projects (unfinished) I come across too.

Kristina that is exactly what I feel.

Hehehe! I like that Kristina when you said ..I'm goin' in! I have a blanket closet and it a mess, so that is one thing I do want to get done.

After being married 29 yrs. We are over run with junk. And I'm sure when someone doesn't want to keep it in there house guess where it ends up. Yep, oh lets put it at mom and dad, anunt and uncle , etc....

So I am encouraged already by my sisters on here already.

Let the cleaning begin...

Got some more done in the kitchen today. Not much because I have my granddaughter here and she is not easy to keep busy for very long.
I clean the freezer as I go. I have a chest freezer but it is full of fruits and odds and ends. The one I've been putting the meals in is the fridge freezer. Needed cleaning out so.....
I think it is ongoing but at least I have a selection of things to throw in the crock pot on those days when I start cleaning "that" room!
I figure as long as I can keep the motivation I will be alright. I put myself back on Weight Watchers and that has helped with the energy level to keep it going. Of course having daylight longer helps with the mood to do it too. Go get 'em gals!!

I have been following along this thread because I love a good clean-up plan! There is something so rewarding about conquering the mess and ending up with a space that is functional again and easy on the eyes! This MJF effort inspired me to come up with a list of priorities to tackle when I retire this July. And first on the lists are the closets in every room! I have been hanging on to "stuff" thinking my grown kids might want it but I realize now they have no interest in that old stuff. Soooo, out it is all going to go. I am excited about how much space I am going to have for my ever increasing crafting needs. Whoop!! I will be checking back to see what all the other farm girls are doing for great ideas I had not even considered. Let the great Summer 2013 Clean out Begin!!

I survived the hour I spent in my closet. Phew! I will be spending a lot more time in there, but just not all in one day.

I plan to get more windows cleaned, blinds wiped and curtains washed.

I still have light fixtures to take down and clean too.

However, today I have regular chores too, so time will be limited to the deep cleaning.

Plus, I am struggling to get Farmer's market items made.

I'll be happy if I get one window cleaned.

I didn't and won't get much done today- I wash a load of sheets and some blankets to hang on the line. To my day job until noon and then my part time gig from 1:00pm until 9:30pm. Trying to do some every day, it doens't seem like I'm gaining on anything, but I will keep trying.

Cleaned 2 more windows, and one door and window. Washed down one hallway wall. DS is cleaning the bathroom (deep cleaning), little dd cleaned off the dust on all the floor wall heaters, 13 yo cleaned down one inside door, older two cleaned up kitchen, but no deep cleaning.

I put 3 loads of laundry out, but need to do other reg. chores yet. I need to run to town too. I ran out of vinegar.

After that, I have to stop cleaning and start making dish scrubbies for market.

Go get'em girls! I'm looking forward to porch time today.

Kristina- can you send a little of your ol' energy my way!! You are bustin' the dust!! Way to go!!!
It's hard sitting at my desk when it is so darn nice out and I should be cleaning out the flower beds, raking and getting the veggie garden ready for planting!!!

Cleaned of the front porch and wiped down and set up all the furniture out there. I'm ready for some summer porch sitting now. Washed the door from all the dirt that the rain splatters up there. Cleaned out some of the shed when we brought out the furniture. Managed to get rid of a big item today. Two more things to go. Need to run to my daughters and "thinking" about THAT room. Hehe.

Lori, sending you some cleaning mojo!
Denise, way to go! I'm heading to my porch too. After I got home I rinsed my homemade ricotta, made a batch of blueberry scones with ricotta, then vacuumed my own room, made my bed, and took the laundry back down. Now, it's time to garden.....ugh, getting very tired.

I got half of my rose bed weeded, and Hubby is now home from work. He's tilling. It's going to rain for 2 days, so he offered to do it. Yay! I think a hot soak in the tub is due for us tonight.

You gals are really kicking some dust bunny butts!! I have been so busy with my ETSY shop and my first show 2 weeks ago that my house has went (there) in a hand basket. We are about 12 days from our last frost date and I have done nothing in the gardens at all. Grrr!! But I am attempting to get ready for the big Route 23 yard sale memorial day weekend. And then the following weekend I have another sale in OH.Keep up the good work and I am going to try to do at least one small something everyday. You have all inspired me!!

Well, I got a few things done today, so I will have no excuses to not start on the dreaded room. Actually, my fear is that I will get caught up in there. It is where I keep my craft and sewing things and I need to do some switching around of some sewing stuff. Hope I don't get sucked in. I want to get it all done asap. I don't know about you gals but when I get near the sewing things I don't get much done.

Denise, I know what you mean about being "sucked in" ha ha ha! I went into my closet with my crafting journal and wrote down every project I wanted to finish, so I would not be tempted to just work on it instead. I have a long list too.

Sunday, I didn't do a lick of work (other than dishes). We went bowling as a family and took a break from electronics, the internet, and so forth.

Today, however, I have a master bathroom that is starting to stink. Then I have to tackle Farmer's Market supplies, so the dreaded closet will have to wait another week, and the same with the last window and light fixtures.

Aha, I made it into "the" room. I got things changed around. The only thing I had to do with the sewing stuff was moving some fabric to a different spot. I was on the phone at the time so I didn't get side tracked with it. I still have some things to straighten up and put away but there is plenty of space in there to do it. Today was productive in my book so it has been a good day.
Hubby finally got moving on some renovations we need to get done in the next couple of weeks so that added to it being a good day. I would have preferred a little sunshine but, you can't have everything.

Oh YES YES ! Do I ever need help. My girl friend told me once, "You are great at planning. Follow through. Not so much." I had never thought of me that way before. Hmm. I think she is right.

I need to start with our travel trailer. We are thinking of selling it this year, and we just got back from a week long Casita/Fiber Glass Trailer rally. These Casita's have a following of their own! 150 plus trailers having fun in Bandera, Texas (Cowboy Capital of the World).

I've got to empty all the nooks and crannies and compartments, and get the little guy ship shape. We have named "him" HAPPY TIMES! Sure, he's small.. but DH and the greyhound and I had a fun-filled week.

This is a picture of a Casita (not ours).. but you all will get the idea. They are just cute.

So I put dinner in the crock pot this morning and when I finish my call from my daughter I am heading back to the sewing/office room to finish up in there. Laundry is going so I am doing that in between. Hoping to get the family room windows today.

Denise.. love the saying at the end of your post by E.Vance. Really true.

Campout cleaning. Part one.
DH emptied out the trailer while I was grocery shopping. He said he put items from each cabinet in the same bag so it will be easy to sort through. Now, all clothes and bed sheets/towel have made it to the laundry. Step 1 -- Check YEAH !

OK-- keep me on track ladies ! Thanks ..

Whoohoo! , clean out the blanket closet and now all is nice and neat. And then cleaned out under the counter where I store pots, baking pans
and I got a drainer tray at a garage sale and put all the glass lids in it and they stand up. So now they are easy to get to. The top shelf is all my big pots and don't have to stack anything. I have small pots but stacked them on the bottom. Now I want to keep going over there to look at it how nice it looks.
All my farmgirl sisters are so encouraging.

Marlee~ That is what I do when I get something cleaned up. I still go in my pantry and just stand there looking around. I decluttered and streamlined it a while ago but I still like to go in and look at it.
Didn't get to the windows and I got off track with a phone call from my dad. But those are few and far between so I will finish up the few odds and ends in the spare room tonight or tomorrow.
I have one of the grandkids, last minute, so it will probably be tomorrow for the spare room.
It goes much better for me if I time myself on these projects. You know 15 or 20 minutes here and there. Laundry didn't get finished today either. I am such a slacker!

I've been busy with regular chores here, but my son is really helping me get it done, so I can restock my Farmer's Market supplies. I did take down the shower curtain and get it washed.

When I cleaned the bathroom, I washed down a few walls in there too.
