I really enjoy looking at all the photos of these beautiful critters - great and small... I don't have farm critters, but I do have my constant, canine critters - Hector and Maggie. They are both rescues - Hector is deaf...

This is Hector - he is a border collie mix.

This is Maggie - last summer in her pool. I love the look on her face - can you tell she was really hot (and she always had the frisbee and ready to go.

Lorraine,
Your dogs are beautiful! We too have a deaf dog, and while they require much more in the way of care, their love and devotion is something to be treasured. You are a woman after my own heart...all our guys are rescues too!

Lorraine, Hector and Maggie are beautiful. I'm sending a giant hug to both of them. Thanks for the first giant smile of the day!

I have a bunch of pics to upload hope no one minds!

This is my dad and brother trimming our ponies feet! Dusty has to be laid down in order to work on his feet.

My son grooming Dusty! They call him Dusty Puppy.

My father and grandfather built this carriage many many years ago. Ever since I was a little girl I dreamed of using it in my wedding and my dreams came true. October 23, 2010! My father bought this horse for me for the wedding.

This is my big girl Belle!

These are pics of my dad showing Butch around his new pasture. Dusty thought he was the King and pranced around while dad was walking him around.

Ok enough for now.

Shelly, I love seeing the animal pictures, Post more if you have them, I'll be checking the site. Oh, the horses are beautiful. How lucky for you to have a carriage for your wedding. Just beautiful.

Thanks everyone for the compliments on Hector and Maggie. I really enjoy looking at all the animal photos.

Shelly - those are great photos. And your wedding photos are lovely. Your little guy, Dusty, is adorable - especially when he was strutting his stuff around the new horse. Too funny.

Lorraine,

I'm taking my aging German Shepherd in to be checked for hearing loss. I'm hoping it is just some foreign material in her ear canal, but she doesn't rub her ears or act like they are troubling her. She just doesn't seem to hear us or anything around us anymore. How did you determine for certain that Hector was deaf?

first, thanks so much, michelle, for starting this thread. it made my day.
i am so curious now to learn more about yaks, and megan, what can you tell us about the highlander.
here are some of my favorite animals here:

cosmo, is no longer with us, but for 15 years she WAS the farm. i still miss her.
and; then there was clooney, he saw me through chemo, 20 hours a day he would lay by my side.....he will have my heart forever!
we currently have 2 angora goats, this one, sweetysweet is by far the most spoiled. we really downsized the herd when country and i got sick at the same time. i dont know if he will ever want to add more goats, but he has recently started adding more chickens,,,,yea! i love those farm eggs.
our egg logo is "tender eggs from gigglin chickens."
and speaking of gigglin....thanks so much for showing all your beautiful animals,,,,please keep those pics going. this is a wonderful thread!

Here is a new addiction to my farm. "Blizard" I'm learning to spin fibers and am so looking forward to doing up "Blizards" fur.
Hen turkey started laying eggs this week. Two a day...they are beautiful eggs and yummy!

Took more pictures today. Thought I'd share.

Walker and Precious. About six months old now..... between the two of them they make a 1/2 whit. LOL

One of my baby Satin rabbits. This one is a siamese (colored like the cat)

Went out this afternoon to bottle feed my goatling and discovered this newborn!

Some of the herd doing what they do best....NOTHING!

So there's some of my barnyard critters. I'm really enjoying meeting all of yours.

Excuse the mess & the noise, my children are making happy memories

Debra - Blizzard is adorable and I love the harness. Too cute...

Jessica - that's a great picture of Lola - love the head tilt.

Kimberly - your dogs are very pretty (what kind?) and the newborn baby goat is so sweet. What a nice surprise.

All the animals are so special - I really enjoy the photos. We need the "Like" button.

Debra, love your bunny. I too am starting into spinning, I hope, and am tempted by fiber animals!

Lorraine, Thanks. They are siblings from the same litter. The dam (our [bleep] Lady) is 1/2 Border Collie, 1/4 Anatolian Shepherd, 1/4 Maremma. The sire is unknown but I think the sneaky bugger that produced these two was Malamute or Husky. Walker reminds me in so many ways of the Malamute/Husky and wolf hybrids I've had in the past. And Precious has the husky look to her.

Ooops I've been bleeped. I just used the term for a female dog but I guess it is used as a bad word by some. Sorry ladies wasn't trying to be crude. How embarrassing.
