Since we have the cowboy boots thread, I figured I'd ask how you wear them?
Pants over them, pants tucked into them, with shorts or skirts..etc.?

When I'm working outside, the jeans are tucked in the boots.
When I wear them to go some place, the jeans or over the boots.

Hi :) I love threads that talk about boots. I wear mine with my pants over & am thinking of wearing them with my dresses this summer. Where I live, you do not see much of that way of dressing, so I may set a fashion trend ;) I do know I get alot of side way glances when I go about with my apron on ;) The hubby keeps telling me to keep looking over my shoulder for men in white coats LOL. Still looking for bedroom slippers for adults that look like cowboy boots :)

Blessings

Tucked under pantlegs always, to keep stuff out of them. Also with long skirts. Don't like to wear them with shorts.

Not with shorts. But I did wear them while naked once. With jeans on the outside or with prairie style skirts.

I mostly wear mine with my jeans over, but if I am running around in the pasture, I usually tuck them in. And I will wear mine with shorts too, usually just around the farm to work, not out and about. Of course 4-H time is different...cowboy boots or rubber boots, it doesn't matter, they are usually with shorts. I am quite a fashion plate, can you tell? lol

I wear mine to work, under the jeans. I sometimes wear them with shorts if I need to run outside quickly. I even worn them with a pink fuzzy bathrobe to go to the mail box! lol

I wear them with everything, to where ever I go, for any reason I want...but, I wear them most during rattlesnake season, I have been struck at many times, but my boots have always saved me from a bite...

Well-l-l-l, once upon a time, while we still lived in the Arizona desert outside of Phoenix, I wore my hubby's boots with my sexy red nightie outside, toting a 44 magnum pistol. There was a rattlesnake in our yard, making a racket and too close to the house and my small children. Ka-boom! Got it! I didn't have time to put clothes on and I knew enough to wear BOOTS for a task of that sort.

I wear mine tucked in on one side or pants all the way covering them. My daughter lives and works on a ranch and she wears hers half tucked. So I had to copy her.
Well I tried to put a picture on but somehow it didn't work. Bummer. I will try again.

Well, I think that's a better look than the people who wear pajamas to Wal-Mart.

I just attended a wedding and the bride wore a full length classic cream colored gown. Beneath she wore her turquoise cowboy boots (a gift from the groom). The groom wore jeans, white shirt and black vest, black cowboy hat (which he removed during the ceremony only when a prayer was said) and a pair of black cowboy boots (which the bride have given him for a Christmas present two years ago). Now I have cowboy boot envy and must buy a pair. I like the idea of wearing them in the summer with dresses and skirts. I don't know if I'm bold enough to wear them in the buff or with my nightie. I think to do that one would have to be a true cowgirl. My hat's off to you!

About the nightie . . I didn't have time to get dressed. I had to act fast and get that rattler! Otherwise I wouldn't have done it that way. However, there wasn't really anyone around to see.

Lora! I've seen you on the porch! I love the pink fuzzy bathrobe thing, haha!!

And I LOVE this thread!! I love my boots... almost every pair I own needs to be resoled... I wear mine with jeans, legs over the shaft, and I often wear them with skirts, too. I kind of want to make some dresses that I could wear boots with for the summer, but I need to get my weight down a bit. I don't wear shorts most times, so that would be a NO. BUT when my father was a salvage diver in the late 70s early 80s, that was the rage... for the divers! Cut off shorts, no shirts, and cowboy boots. I hope Momma has those pictures.... HAH!

I sent a pair of boots off to Amanda at https://www.facebook.com/HopscotchDandelions. She's a farmgirl. Last year, I traded for a pair of black cowboy boots with a farm girl here, which I love. Amanda tells me that they were originally brown and that she's going to strip the paint and then paint on some flowers. She does such amazing work. It will be so much fun to wear them when I get them back!

This is how my daughter and I wore ours this last week, "dressed up" to go out for supper while on our "tent-glamping" trip (you can read more about that and see pics in our Tent-Glamping Photo Journal thread in OUTPOST)

Oh CeeJay that is such a familiar sight in my family! Makes me miss my Aunt Jeanie and Uncle Mike!

I thought about wearing boots for my wedding but it just won't look right. I think, instead, I may look for a pair of Victorian style boots. I know River Junction Trading Company used to carry them because my Daddy bought some for Momma. Otherwise, I saw a neat idea for making Spats to go over pumps!!! I thought that may be fun, too!

But yes, the boots... I can barely even wear flat shoes any more because my feet are so accustomed to some form of a heel now. And, everyone I meet at work that doesn't have boots want a pair now, and I send them all to the western shop down the street! Wish I could get a referral cut!! HA!
