It is hot, smoky, and hazy here. Can't see the mountain from my window any more. It is supposed to clear out by tomorrow. I can do without the excess heat too.

My workplace will be closed Thursday and Friday so employees can get ready for the hurricane coming on Saturday night. We got water & gas. All I need now is chocolate and books. Other family members will probably be hunkering down with us.

It was supposed to be 95 today, but it only made it to 85 due to the thick smoke from the WA and OR wildfires. Ash was falling like snow this morning when I woke up - a thin film on everything and it's continued to fall all day. We went over to Hood Canal (my favorite Puget Sound waterway) this afternoon and visited a state park. The smoky haze makes for pretty pictures.

Nice photo, hope the smoke stops soon.
We had a thunderstorm a little while ago but it seems to have moved on. Hopefully won't start anymore fires.

A coolish morning in the Texas Hill Country, 58 degrees. The high is expected to be 85.
I cannot wait for the Fall.

Too darn sultry in southern FL! We are busy stashing stuff away to keep it from flying around. I was in West Palm on a fool's errand for a gas powered chainsaw ( long sold out) and picked up my daughter & her dog and cat. Mother in law & my son will arrive Saturday with 2 more dogs.

It is smoky here, very smoky--and warm. Will be happy and breathe a lot better when the fires are out.

Hot hot hot hot HOT!!!!!
And the AC isn't working so hot.

Reminds me of a Twilight Zone episode.
Just don't want to wake up to sub zero temps.

The worst of Hurricane Irma will be past soon. It is already downgraded. We don't have electricity and are cooking on a campstove

Oh my Krista I hope you don't get anymore either.

We are getting rain and a little wind from Jose. No worse than a regular rain shower.

Please oh please send that rain our way! We haven't had any for September and the 90+ temps for a solid week has really fried everything up. Fortunately we are back to low 70's now. Sadly there is no rain in our 10 day forecast. Our usual beautiful autumn colors are not going to be very vibrant this year.

Finally the hot weather broke! It was was in the fifties this morning. Feels like fall. Suppposed to get up in the seventies today. Then head back up to the eighties later this week. I am through with the eighties.I want jacket weather.

Very much agree. I have been wanting some fall weather and by this weekend we will be good and set in the cooler weather. It will be a nice change to all the heat we had this summer. It's finally starting to feel like fall!

Even though it's still Fall...Ole Man Winter is on his way to Kentucky this week...Bitter cold and some snow forecast...Wind chill readings may be below zero by the weekend...It's time for the Winter weather but God sure blessed us with a beautiful Autumn season...

Hugs!

It was 88 degrees here in So Cal on 12.28.17. 88 DEGREES !!!

It seems anymore we have hot and really hot weather. I think the only way we are going to get any relief is if I start building a, arc in my backyard.

We had 4 degrees at 4:30 this morning here in N.E. Ohio, then it jumped to a whopping 15 and hovered there for the rest of the day!
