Marlene, tornadoes scare me. LOL I'm familiar with hurricanes, but with a tornado it just pops up! Stay safe.

89 degrees in the Texas Hill Country. No rain. It's going to be a hot summer. I'm already anxious for Fall.

Went for a walk this morning with Shylo. It is 7am and already 70'.
Took a break on this old house foundation in the field where we walk.
On top of that it is supposed to be over. Hundred today and the AC has been acting up.

Here in N.E.Ohio we have had a couple of 90 degree days, then 70's n 80's. Today is mid 70's. We've had rain almost every day. (the new rainforest?) Almanac said our area was going to be cooler and wetter this summer. They couldn't have gotten it any closer to truth! I'm loving it(even if we do have barnacles growing on our bottom)!*giggle*

Thank you very much Miss Bear5.

She is 10 in people years and almost 75 in dog years.

Lets see. I just turned 60 in people years. So that means I am 420 in dog years.

No wonder my bones hurt when I get up in the morning

We are finally getting some rain here too. It's nice because it's finally bringing our hot temperatures down into the 80's. It's nice to finally give the air conditioner a rest.

Nancy your dog is beautiful!! I also have a 10 year dog and she really is showing her age though. Your too funny! This is way we don't count ourselves in dog years! Lol

It is unbearably warm here. The skies are clear and the sun is out. Most days are in the mid to high 90's. I can work outside for a short while in the morning and then it is inside for quilting the est of the day. Life is good.

I could whine and complain, but there is nothing I can do about the weather. It is very smoky due to the wildfires in northern Washington and in Canada. Top it off, it is very warm. However in about 12-15 weeks I will complain about the cold. So I will say, due to the circumstances the weather is not great, but it is what it is: Good.

Finally, a nice day or rain. It wasn't hard so it seeped into the ground. It will be great for the plants and grass.

Thankfully we are getting an early autumn here in the Chicago area. Just spent the weekend on our solar eclipse vacation in MO and I thought I'd die! The temps were in the triple digits and the humidity was past 90%. So happy to be home after an awesome experience and enjoy our glorious sunshine and low 70's temps. Now this is summer to me!

Yes, I'm a winter person.

Dawn--where in Missouri did you go to view the eclipse? My brother lives in southwest city of St. Louis and he got it on video. I experienced it here, but it only got like twilight, as I am about twenty miles north of the dark zone. It was neat.

Hurricane Harvey!!! Please watch what is happening in South Texas
Ladies if you live on the west coast, east coast, or the upper gulf coast... PLEASE PAY ATTENTION to what is happening in South Texas now! This could happen in any coastal area. People who felt safe yesterday, must level their beautiful homes, because of too much water. 17' deep in places!

Dead friends, please pray...Harvey returned to the gulf and after a day or so came inland again between Texas and Louisiana, last night/this morning between 12 and 3am. The city of Port Arthur is totally underwater, beautiful Beaumont is in desperate trouble too! Louisiana and far East Texas are filling up with rain. Please try to contact your farm girl sisters who are in these areas and pray for their lives and safety. 27" of rain in 24 hours....is too much.My
