Was to the doctor yesterday. 40 pounds down since Oct!! I am looking forward to 40 more down by Christmas or the New Year.

I am encouraged by the time change. I don't like it being dark at 6pm. LOL

I am doing and feeling so much better since reading the book Adrenal Fatigue and adding extra vitamins to my diet. You can find it at Amazon.

Have a great day!

I did pretty well last week. Exercised all five weekdays. Took today off, but was still pretty active! How is everybody doing? Getting excited about Spring taking hold and Winter slipping away?

Congrats Amy! That's fantastic!

I joined WW 1/31 - I'm down almost 8 lbs. I almost said "only" down 8 lbs. But I am losing steadily and slowly. Inches are coming off as well. I starting to feel like I can really do this!

They added a couple of weight machines at our local park. I've started to incorporate those into my walk/jog routine. Yesterday I bought a heart rate monitor. We'll see how that works out today. It feels uncomfortable to wear right now.

My knee pain is starting to go away. Which makes me very happy! I don't ache after my walk/jog's now.

After a weekend away from home, I think I gained 4 pounds back. Ha ha! It was back to the gym this morning. It was hard, but went anyway.

How is everyone else doing? I didn't plan this weeks menu, so I best get on that.

STill plugging along, Kristina. I 've been in a definite more difficult than usual period as far as the exercise goes and I lost some of my forward momentum. But, I have been back at it with renewed promise. So glad that you are your dh are doing well.

I feel like hubby and I have to "start over" every week now that sickness is here again. We plan on getting back to our exercise routine tomorrow morning.

I hope and pray you are all doing well.

Good morning ladies!

I have played around with exercise and weightloss but never have gotten very serious about it. Now I am. Now I HAVE to get healthy because I think I am in a prediabetic stage and I really don't want to take that last leap into full diabetes. I get very tired after eaing meals with carbs- to the point where I have to sleep it off. I know that is a huge warning sign. I have cut Soda out of my diet and got up this morning to get back into working on my eliptical. I also am going to start walking on my breaks instead of sitting and reading at my desk. I also am committing to working out on the eliptical in the evenings too. I would really like to get an hour and a half of exercise in each day.

I am so happy for all you who are losing weight and inches! That is awesome! Each pound, each inch is so important! You are all fabulous!

Alee,
Welcome. We are very casual about checking in. But,it is very nice to have some to brag to when you are happy with your accomplishments. And in true fg spirit, someone to say, OK tomorrow is another chance. I am trying to keep as mobile as possible by keeping up my exercises and keeping my weight in check. It is more of a struggle for me to get in all my exercise.

Look forward to hearing from you often.

Thanks Marianne! :)

Yesterday I did the Couch 2 5K program but did not make it all the way- only about 18-20 minutes in. Today I tried again and got all the way through the 25 minutes of run/walk. It felt really good to get it done-but boy were my legs jelly afterwards! I am doing my exercise on our eliptical. After I conquer the program on the eliptical I am going to start doing street running in the mornings. I think both have good things to offer and it will be interesting to see how the fitness I get on the eliptical translates to the real world. After I get a little bit healthier I would like to try the insanity program.

Hi Ladies! It sounds like you all are dedicated to fitness and health and weight loss. I have been doing a diet/fitness system for 2 weeks now and have lost 4 pounds and gained a lot of muscle. I'm doing Jillian Michael's program...its tough but it has results and I don't want to do a low-carb diet and throw my hormones out of whack, which is how I got 20 pounds overweight in the first place. I'm happy I found this thread...it will be so nice to be able so share with you all and learn from you :-). I recently read a great book that I reccomend to all of you: "Master your Metabolism" by Jillian Michaels. It opened my eyes to what our bodies really do with food and exercise, and how I can loose weight and keep it off! :-) Hope that you all are having a great week so far!

Hi Breanna!

Awesome job on losing pounds AND gaining muscle! That is fantastic! Jillian Micheals programs are pretty tough I have heard. I would like to try it sometime just to see!

I am almost a week into Induction for Atkins so far and I am feeling so good! This is the first time in a very long time that I have had energy all through out the day. Last night I had a good supper and even still lost weight this morning. I need to add in more exercise. I haven't exercised other than walking the dog on Tuesday and a few walks at work since I last checked in. I was still adapting to my new eating plan I guess--- or I was just lazy!

Anyway- As of this morning I have officially lost 5 pounds this month! I am so so excited! I am hoping to revv up the weightloss and I would dearly love to see 15 pounds lost this month (which could definiatly happen) but I would settle for 10 I just can't wait until I can start going down in pant sizes without it looking like I am trying to squeeze my self into a sausage skin!

Alee and Breanna, You should both be floating on air. What great accomplishments. Breanna it sounds like you are really serious. J. Michaels workout is no fooling around. And Alee, no calling yourself lazy. Look at the changes you have made. That takes determination, not something a lazy person has a lot of.

We are all doing well. Setbacks and all ... we keep coming back to our goals and trying. What else matters?

Have a great Friday the Thirteenth. I consider it a personal lucky day.

After having years and years of my body only gaining weight I am over the moon that it is finally shedding some pounds. I am now at 6 pounds lost but I think I will really believe it once I have dropped over ten pounds because I have lost three or four here and there and then they come rushing right back. I want to make sure that I am not being too overly excited. But at the same time I really am excited! If that doesn't sound like too much of a contridiction! LOL

I keep promising myself that I will get right back onto the exercise program soon- This is that last couple weeks of school and I am feeling a bit of pressure to get a few projects done. I think that is what is messing up my sleep lately.

Today was my first day of gardening ... oh, I thought I was keeping in shape somewhat ... it is so different to do a wide range of bending and stretching and stooping and reaching compared to repetitious movements!! I am pretty tired. I was achy when I stopped. (READ: I was aching so I stopped!) But, the creaking has lessened even if the groaning hasn't!!

Hope everyone is on track. It seems we all have slipped a bit here and there. But, everyone is getting right back on board with the exercise and moving. That is really what it is all about. We will have these periods of time when we don't eat right for a day or two or miss our regular exercise for a while, but as long as we come back to it, we are GOLDEN!

Good morning, ladies! My name is Marylyn. I have been 'hanging-out' with the Farmgirl Sisters on another forum since I joined and they are awesome and someone mentioned this group, so I thought I would stop by!

I was a 'skinny Minnie' all my younger life and then one day I noticed that I was about 50 lbs. over what was once my normal weight!!! So February 20th I stopped eating anything white, with the exception of some dairy products. Since then I have lost 15 lbs!!!!!! Yipppeeee!!!! My goal is 10 more....so it is time to get moving! I live on a farm and work full time....how much more can I move? Hehehe...

Thank you all, for taking the time to read my post.

Love and Light,

Auntie M

Oh Auntie M and Marianne, I'm so glad I found you. I got so lost after Holly sent us off. We were having so much fun. I guess we were taking up too much time and space on the welcome wagon. After all, we were welcome already!!

Between yesterday & today, I got in 5 hours of inside moving. Gardening before rain started yesterday & inside cleaning today. (Just in case anybody's still keeping track)

I'll check back later sisters.

Hugs and Squishies!!

Kathy

Welcome Marylyn,
Hubby and I are still working at getting in shape. We will most likely be working even harder now that he will be a kidney donor soon. Getting all the extra weight off, for both of us, is a priority. :)

Hope all is well with everyone!

Thank you, Kristina....I have been perusing your blogs and found the recipe for Queen Anne's Lace Jelly!!!! Since I use an iPad, I grabbed my pen and paper and wrote it down!!! Queen Anne's Lace is my absolute favorite flower!!! And I feel so blessed, because they grow wild in my neck of the woods! Most folks call them weeds!!! I adore them and they are thick on my farm!!!! WooooWhoooo!!! Oh, thank you for making and for sharing that wonderful recipe!!!

I move about 4 hours today...I piled tree tops, pushed my lawn-mower, and hand weeded my blackberry vines! Come on weight...come off!!!

Only 2 hours movement today because of the weather. Mostly in the greenhouse and the mall.

I bought a little Sundew plant to keep in my greenhouse to help keep down those little tiny nasty bothersome stinking nasty (sorry, I said that already) hateful little black bugs!!! Whomever said gnats were no bother, were crazy. Hhhmmmmm....maybe I should have gotten 2 of those carnivorous plants.

Hugs and Squishies!!
