Jonni,
I am just seeing this post and sending you my prayers. I hope things start looking up, and that Finn recovers fully fast!

I'm ramping up the prayers to make sure Finn gets home tomorrow! I'll be checking this post regularly to make sure "our" boy is home safe and sound. I think we've all adopted Finn!

So excited for you today. I hope Finn's night went very well and he can get some TLC at home instead of at the vets for awhile.

Morning girls! I've been standing at the copier for the last 3 hours so I didn't get a chance to hop on and update. During the monsoon last night (that continued to this a.m), we picked Finn up from the Vet. The girls at the office all came out to say "goodbye" and to make sure he had his little green fuzzy "moon" squeak toy and they were very sad to see him go. Said he was the best dog they've seen is such a long time, so that made momma proud, you know :) I think Finn loved getting loads of attention, but he did practically pull me out the door to the car! Once home, I let the dogs sortof "bombard him" to get all their questions and nosiness out of the way, so they would leave him be after a time. He immediately went to inspect his "corner" of the kitchen, and make sure all was in order. He seems really happy, but he is still rather week. He will be on 2 different antibiotics for TWO WEEKS, twice daily. So, still a ways to go.
He did eat (tuna) and he had a chew which he consumed in minutes. After that, he just hung out on the couch with me while he, Violet and I watched Polar Express. Just like a regular night in the Lynch household. I secretly think he was VERY disappointed that Justin came home before I'd gone to bed, because when Jus works late and I head back to bed, Finn absolutely has to come with and sleeps, just like Justin, head on his pillow and growls at every creak of the house, wind or branch moving against the house. My guard dog :)
Thank you girls SO much for everything--every single thought you've had for me, for Finn, is just as good as medicine.

Oh Jonni, I'm so happy for you! It's time we had good news on this forum. Good job Finn! Now take it easy for a while so you can recooperate and return to your place in the household as guard dog for your hu-Mom and Violet.
Give him lots of love and attention to help in his recovery.

Hey Girls! This is a pic of Finn I took this morning--
his "worried" look is because I'm getting ready to leave for work, but his demeanor is so much like the old Finn (tail wagging, "tap dancing" with his front paws, play bows) that it's hard to believe he was ever so terribly ill. He takes his meds like a champ (cream cheese is a favorite in our house) and you can tell he's happy to be home. The vet called last night to check in on him, to make sure he was doing "ok" and to let me know he would be out today but back in Thursday, Friday and Saturday if we need him. Very thoughtful. Thought I would get a little giftcard together and send to Dr. Line and the staff for a lunch on the Lynch's. My Christmas is made complete with Finn back home!

Yes, that face says "Mommy, don't leave me, stay at home and baby me some more!" So glad he's home and doing well. I think the gift card would be a nice gesture. Sounds like they went over and above for Finn.
