Are you going to try to make a journal Rhonda? Nice to see you here and about on the site, where have you been?

Fran,
Your work is beautiful. I just love scrap crafting...my MIL sends me a box of scraps every 3 months or so just to keep the kids and I busy.

Hey Nancy, YES YES! frannie's things are wonderful! Aren't you lucky to have things she's made!

I have been busier than usual, hubby is working a lot, AND school has started for us. All that equals less computer time for me. But I try to get in here as much as possible-MJ forums have become my favorite! By the way...did your package arrive? I sent my two oldest boys to town to mail it...lol, I just asked them again if they are sure they sent it. They assured me it isn't rattling around in their backseat! Should be there any time...Ooooookay...we shall see!

I actually wanted the journal instructions for a friend-just knew she'd love it! And frannie, I sent her your instructions today and she was SO excited about trying it! Thank you again for sharing! Can't wait to see what she does with it!

Ohhhhhhhhh to live "just around the corner" from you farmgirls!

Blessings all!
Rhonda

glad to share with other crafters!
please let me know how it goes for her and what she creates. if she has any improvement on the process i would love to know about that. sometimes i feel like i am inventing the wheel only to find out its been done and i just didnt know about the info!
it is easier when i just pick out a craft and stick with that and dont go off on my tangents, but i'm afraid i really love the tangents, so there you go.
please keep us posted on her journal making.

Yeah but if no one is around to talk or post to what does it hurt. When blogging you are always talking to yourself unless someone posts back. I guess I must talk to myself alot. I hope this means you are doing better that you are posting again.

take care sunshine

what have you been up to sunshine?
when you post on the blog site are you haveing trouble with pics. they are not working at all for me so i am gonna start posting pics again here.
it seems when the blog changed over to beta i couldnt get them to upload only to download and then they never came to the post. they are just out there floating around in cyberland i suppose.

no, I don't have that problem with beta. Make sure you are loading the right thing from photo bucket the pictures we load here at MJF are img the bottom item you copy make sure you copy the whole thing.
The pictures you load on the blog are url the top item if you load the wrong thing you won't get a picture. Maybe that is your problem I did that a few times in the beginning.

I have be busy lately not crafting so much unless you count mass amounts of yo-yo's I have been taking care of sick kids, straightening fabric and spent a few days up the canyon. You can see it all on my blog and a few scarfs and getting stuff in the mail that is the best part.

Glad things have slowed a little for you. We are still unemployed here but all is well. We planed ahead and it is not a financial burden at all to be unenployed so that is good, Ask me in 6 months if we are still this way I might give you a differnt story but I doubt it. We planned for times like this. We don't go out and spend lots of extra stuff but normal stuff sure no big deal ( what is normal to me may be unnormal to someone else). We are good though.

have a lovely day and may God bless you and keep you safe

well, it is really feeling like fall here at the farm, and that is my favorite time of the year.
i am still on the crafting tangent, although with the cooler weather i have some outside projects that really need my attention. here are 2 little critters that i just finshed crafting on, they will join the menagerie of felt knitted animals that live here at the farm.

they are between 1 1/2-3" tall, so nancy jo, they are much smaller than belle.
the little piggie still needs something, maybe some eyelashes but it really hasnt come to me yet.

i hope you enjoy seeing them, they were fun to make, i dont have names yet, any suggestions?

Maybe a two holed button nose to look like a little piggy nose and two black bead eyes you could even take embroidery thread and make little hooves

yes sunshine,
my blog wont publish pics. it is frustrating. i too have spent hours trying to figure it out, but have finally just given up!
it uploads the pics but then they dont make it to the blog.
i tried the url thing and i couldnt even get those to upload to the site for downloading to the blogspot.
all was well until it switched to betablog.
i do have pics posted from that time, but then it all kind of went bad
thanks for the suggestions for the piggie. he still needs something but i will try out your suggestions and see how it goes.

Fran - your little piggie is the cutest thing in the world! Do you sell your little guys? I have a sister that collects everything pig and I tend toward the everything chicken! As a family we try to stay with the handmade/homemade future heirlooms. I am trying to break my obsession with sock knitting , so maybe I should try some felting...nah, I'll just buy yours!

thanks to all for the comments,
i am busy, but sometimes feel i should have more to show for it. well that is the life a stay at home "omie". i feel very blessed and lucky to be at home, after many years of being an occupational therapist, i feel i have the best job ever and am busier than i've ever been.
susan, i do sell all my crafts, and i am working on a "motherhen" right now. i will post a pic of her as soon as she is finished. so what kind of socks do you knit? i do not knit, but if i did i would want to make those really wild socks that i see in the knitting books.
maybe we could try a trade if you make those kind of socks and could work out something for both of us. email me if you are interested.

Hi frannie I hope your computer is doing better. zYou know if you are having that much of a problem with your blog why not deleate it and just start over you only had 2 or 3 post it would be real simple to do. I was wondering if part of your image problem is the size of your files with dial up. Just athought dial ups tend to time out.

sunshine,
the computer seems to be better, right now, we think my dh had to add his email from work and thats when it seemed to kind of fritz out on us.
i have tried a few more times to work on my blog. the problem there started when they changed to betablog. it will still post but it wont print the pics. it uploads them like before but when it is time to download them it says it has accomplished it but they dont show up. so i tried what you suggested and tried to upload from url but that wouldnt even upload. i think i will try what you suggest and delet the whole thing.
what are you working on with crafts right now. i am making things for the fall swap and frantically trying to get them done in time. also have new schedule with the grandkids, i am taking deven to school instead of picking him up which means for the next 12 weeks they wont be here in the afternoon.
i know it will give me a chance to winterize the house and get a head start on some of my projects but i think id rather have the little ones underfoot.
when they leave i am always exhausted and so is dh but we love it!
maybe i can start posting a little more, i am also waiting to hear from nance in france so i can post her items, she should be home i think by now but i could be wrong.

I have been working like crazy on yo-yos, embroiderd block for two swaps and I still the fall swap to do as well. I think I will change what I was making as it will take to long I don't have much time left. I also made a few scarfs for people and my husband finnally got 1 of the 3 checks his old work owes him they are still trying to get funds for the other two. So we hope that all goes well. My littlest saw a halloween pumpkin and is going a little crazy at the moment her b-day is only a few days after halloween and she knows that very well. So she keeps asking when is halloween not because she wants halloween. But because she knows her bday is right afterward. Nothing like an overly anxious kid going crazy for b-day to drive mom a little crazy. Haven't a clue what to get her not spending like normal at the moment.
