Diane! That is so cool! Bet you aren't bothered by those stinky hairy weresomethings! Does the blooms have a fragrance? What time of year do they bloom?

Nope, no fragrance, just beautiful bright puple pods of flower power. This year the shade from the crabapple tree they were planted under was so dense, the little darlings grew over 6 feet high just to pop their heads out into the sun to bloom. Get a mental picture of that, purple blossoms sprouting sideways out of the top of a 6 foot tall crabtree...looked like fireworks shooting out...

They bloom late spring and again in fall if you cut them back.
Sue BEB, you know I love you and am just teasing...

Diane,
Your colorful description of spring in your garden sounds so amazing!
I love a pink crabapple in bloom and to imagine purple rockets shooting through it, just knocks me out!!
Youz forgiven (trust me,when you are a friend of the herbs, you are used to hearing that silly old joke everybody wants to know the "secret ingredient" ha!) no biggie
love ya back

BEB Sue, you know what's funny? I was not EVEN thinking about a certain herb that is also the name of our exaulted leader...how funny is that. I just meant some wierd potion you had mixed up (I think I have watched "Practical Magic" too many times...I always imagine Sue's kitchen looks like that one and Sue is Sandra Bullock) or like in the old days where they soaked their tobacco in whiskey and then smoked it.

Okay, and I'll be Diane Wiest, everyone tells me I look like her anyway. Now, who's going to be Stockard Channing? Aunt Jenny looks alot like her....
