Thanks CJ. This should be such fun. If I can manage it, and we already have Florida, I thought I might send a farm picture from North Carolina because that state wasn't on the list and it IS my favorite vacation spot because my grandgirls are there. Joey

CJ...I got my Post Card from you today. I know you took the picture...is that a view from your own property? Just Beautiful no matter where it is from. ~ Like you, I think next year I will have my own postcards made. I could not believe how expensive they are these days. They use to be so cheap...atleast last time I bought any...which has been years ago now. I found some at Fred Meyers here in the NW but at almost $2.00 each who could afford that. ~ So, I went on line and ordered in bulk and got them down to .70 each but noted that you could have a lot more printed cheaper if you used your own pictures. So, you were SMART girlfriend! And I am going to get smart for next year. lol Blessings, Peggy

Yup, Peggy . . . those mountains are what I see out my east windows . . . and as I drive all the way into town. I can see them right now as I turn my head to look out the window!! I call them "my" mountains!
Thanks!

I got your beautiful card today too CJ! We like eastern Colorado a lot-the Canon City area-but we may have to check out the western part of the state too.

Hello CJ,

I received your post card today. The mountains are spectacular. Our house is a barn shaped like the one in the foreground. We livein the loft which is now a two story house. We see mountains but the green mountains are far shorter and the snow melts for the summer.

How do you get anything done? I might have to put on blinders to stop looking at their beauty. Every day I look at our mountains and remark how pretty they are.

CJ, received your beautiful card today. Mine are ready to mail but with the holiday on Monday they won't go out till Tuesday. One of my part time retirement jobs is driving "taxi" for some Amish neighbors. so I've been writing the cards in grocery store parking lots while waiting for ladies to finish shopping. I agree with others that the case of writer's cramp is well worth it. Looking forward to cards from all over. Ohioann

CJ,
Received your beautiful postcard today- thank you so much- right now its hanging on my fridge to admire each time I open it. It is the first one in my collection. I must admit I dont even have all of my cards yet- let alone have I started to write them out! You girls are too efficient!
Thanks again!

Hey girls . . .enjoy "my" mountains! I never tire of looking at them or spending time in them.

CORRECTION NEEDED: PAM BARNES-PALTY last name . . . it is "PALTY" . . . NOT "Patty". If you haven't sent your cards, please make that change. If you have, she says it'll probably be okay, she gets mail a lot with that misspelling.

My apologies to Pam and everyone else..
Thanks!
CJ

Hi girls! I am so excited to have also received both of your postcards, CJ and Deborah - I LOVE THEM! THANK YOU! They really made my day! I've started sticking the postcards in the frame of my big mirror over the fireplace for now - it kind of reminds me of one of those old-time suitcases which were plastered all over with stickers from places visited. I really kind of like it, but I'm sure I'm going to have to come up with a different display as more postcards begin to arrive! ;) I'm so loving this swap - you're right, Peggy - it IS fun!!! Hugs - Nini (Joey - I didn't even notice the checked socks! I'll have to look at the card I saved for myself! LOL!)

That's a good questions...how are you ladies going to display the postcards? I was going to put them in an album but then I can see them all the time...a frame maybe?

My postcards will be on my credenza in dining room to look through until the end of the summer. Last year I was able to find small albums to put them in where both sides could be seen. I will look for more of those as I don't want to use the albums where both sides can't be seen.
It is fun!

My order came today! Just in time for me to work on them in the waiting room while my son has his knee scoped. I can't wait to get them out and I can't wait to receive some.
Thanks for organizing this for us!
