Very pretty sunshine, what do you use that table for? Did you stitch it by hand or machine? NANCY JO |

Hey gals. These are beautiful, sunshine. And I just HAD to tell you that I recently saw an article on lace in the Sept. issue of Country Living, and there was a photo of various types of lace and one is actually called SUNSHINE BORDER!!!! You're famous, and perhaps didn't realize it. I also thought of you, too, because you had said you love Halloween. I made some cool ghosts out of vintage white linen-cotton sheeting I found in France....actually found it in one of the closets! I had seen an idea for these ghosts in a French craft mag and decided I had to make them, they were so adorable. I was going to get Andre to take me to a fabric store but found this in the nick of time! I was going to try to sell them here but time has slipped by like lightning since I got back, so maybe I will try next year.
Anyway, your lace is exquisite; keep inspiring us! Nance |

Sunshine, if you cannot find that issue I still have it and can send you the article if you want. I don't have a digital camera, but my girlfriend does so if she can scan the ghosts I will post them. Good idea for getting them for next year, thanks; hadn't thought about that!
Just pulled three glorious fragrant loaves of French bread outta the oven. What a nightmare. Decided to perfect my french loaf before hubby arrives in two weeks. Devoted all morning to the mixing, kneading, punching, rising, and then came the magic moment to preheat the oven. Dang if my pilot light hadn't gone out; well, not mine, the oven's! Guess from lack of use while we've been in France. Lugged the loaves across the street here to use my girlfriend's oven and since I use her computer anyway, my time was being well spent. I am going to dance back across the street with these babies, believe me! Even my perfect palated French husband will have to admit that "real" French bread can be baked outside of France. Ooo lala, the sweet smell of success!! Nance |

nance in france the magazine came today nice article and pictures. It is funny to me though they keep saying and talking about using vintage crochet lace and all I see pictures of is Bobbin lace from the 50's -70's. Funny they have all those people at big magazines to stop mistakes before publishing and they missed about 20 in one articel. I still love it though thank you very much

Glad it arrived safely! I read somewhere about someone saying have you ever noticed people on TV "knitting", and what they are making is actually crocheted? Don't know how that happens but people often do make 'absolute' statements without doing their homework! Maybe they need you to be their fabric/textiles advisor.... Nance |
