Here is a source that I found:

http://www.recaddy.com

If that doesn't work just google broom making supplies. This is actually a page that shows how to make a broom and if you scroll down to the bottom you will find a source for broomcorn. It is a company in Greensboro, NC.

Very cool sites Georann!
I am thinking of making my own broom too...And get this..I was doing some family history research last night, apparently my great great grandfather was a broom maker. A picture of his shop is in the Smithsonian..
I am destined to make a broom! I just know it!!!
This thread is too cool,
can't wait to hear about reading tea leaves, palms, cards....

I oredered some runes for my MIL the other day. She loves objects and puts a lot of feeling into them, and surrounds herself with things that she puts a lot of herself into. The other day she mentioned that she was interested in Tarot cards, and how fun it was when she was a kid and had hers done, and then went on to say that she would like to learn something like that some time... it made me think of how she is about things with textures and how she loves little baubles.. the things she collects and the fact that she and her husband are major rock hounds, so I decided to get them for her.

I am hoping she will like them, I don't think she has really been around that stuff before so it remains to be seen if she will be receptive, but it just seemed so HER that I thought she would really enjoy them.

Bobbi,
Thought you might like this site:

I'm going to finish reading the site you sent last week. It has already made a profound statement on my psyche.

I'm glad you are getting something out of it.. I can only hope that the profound statement it is making is doing more good than harm! I know that stuff can be pretty earth rattling especially for someone with a life that has been shaped and intertwined deeply with the very thing that is holding them down... Thats how it was for me until I sat with it for a while, re-read it and felt the sense of joy that comes with just letting go.

Hi Bobbi,
All I can say is Wow! Thank you so much for the enlightenment! It is so hard to let go of certain things. Email me sometime. Perhaps we can "talk."

No Katiedid, I posted a link to a very long essay that has helped shed some light on my own personal choices with some religious hang ups I had in the past. If you feel like a VERY long but powerful read you can check it out at

http://www.infidels.org/library/historical/robert_ingersoll/why_i_am_agnostic.html

but be prepared for a lot of reading!

I was born on a full moon too! I knew I was a moon child, but how cool. Wonder if it means anything.

Bobbi,

I printed and read the essay. Very enlightening and lifted some Catholic guilt. Good read. Thanks.

Sounds good, Tasha.

I live in N. Idaho and you should've seen the moon here @ about 5:30 this morning. It was orange in our skies. Of course, that could be cuz our air is full of smoke from forest fires!! But it was beautiful.

I'm a little late on the discussion but I have enjoyed reading this thread. It's great to learn about new things. I've always felt in tune with nature myself, used to get up in the middle of the night as a child just to watch the moon. Not sure why, just have always been drawn to the moon, still am. I look forward to learning more about you all. Wonderful thread!

Blessings....

That's awesome Georgann. I noticed the moon this morning on the way to school. It was beautiful sitting there in the western sky.
