Theresa,

I'll be out today mailing my package of 12 caps your way today. The sun is out and it's the perfect day to share some love.

I went out of town this Saturday and of course took my yarns and hook. Of course, I wasn't driving and by the time we came back home, I am happy to say that I made 3 more caps. I now have 10 more caps to add which will be filling up my new box with 16. This box I will be sending off directly.

I'll post a photo of these new caps for Monday.

The box I mailed to Theresa on Thursday is already on its way.

Teresita, thank you for sharing that video! I think I saw it once before, but it's still encouraging to see another teenager like me knitting for good!

I think what's so wonderful and joyful is seeing teenagers like you and children and those who are young at heart making these CAPS FOR GOOD. I thought this video was very inspirational to see that we can all do something and love is never limited to our ages.

When we are younger we often have homework to worry about and exams to study for. When we are older and at work then we have other problems to deal with. Making these "CAPS for GOOD" is the perfect and delightful way to take a break from our worries and chores and feel the joy that fills you when you create these caps. All of us are often short of time. That's another plus to making these caps for babies who reallly do need them in Africa, Asia, and South America. They don't take a long time to make at all. It's simply delightful to see it completed right before one's eyes.

I'd just like to thank you for starting this "CAPS FOR GOOD" here. I had received a card in the mail inviting me to make the caps. I had put the card away. I have seen this project now for a few years but had yet to make the caps. This month I became a Farmgirl Sister and that's when I found this topic here that you had begun.

Sometimes it's like a pebble that you throw in the water. Watch the ripples spiral around. Since finding this topic here, I have sent a box your way of 12 caps and just wrapping up a new batch of 16 caps. I have also told my friends and those in my own groups about this project.

None of this would have happened if you had not begun the group. Sometimes you never see the ripples but they are very much there.

Super Bowl Sunday...... Think football and caps.... a super time to have fun with a "Super Caps for Good Get-together" with some friends and chatting while making some caps. It's February 6th which gives you plenty of time to send off the caps by the end of the month deadline.

Sounds like a super fabulous idea to me!

I have made one, gathered 4 from friends, and will make at least one more before too long.
I made my first one in between tasks while working as a midwife in the birth center. The clients love to hear that I, and my sister midwife Joan, are working on this project- even if in a small way!

Thanks Theresa! Glad to be helping here!

I feel happy to visit and see the caps that are being made.

I enjoy telling people that every single hat you make is for one baby and their mother. It's like giving HUGS! There is no gift of love to small to make. Not only will a baby and his/her mother be happier but we are too in this opportunity to share our love from our hearts. The love we give seems to return right back to us!

I received another box of caps . . . but they aren't tagged and I don't know who they are from! I'd love to give credit where credit is due. Anyone want to claim them? My son tossed the box before I could see the address.

You can add 4 more to the tally. (20 total in this new box that I'll be sending soon. I think I can fit some more in the box before sending them on their way.

I just keep thinking...... one more baby!

More good news..... we still have February days ahead to keep stitching away with love. Lots of great sales on yarns and pretty cold days outside make for perfect indoor time for knitting and crocheting away.

Think candies, hearts and caps this February and the hours will be sweeter still!

I'm up to 15! Ladies, I'm really proud of all of us. We have rallied together for something really good, and we have collectively made over 200 caps! Thank you Theresa for organizing this, I would never have heard of it without you:)
