Cheryle...more great pictures! Just beautiful!

Ruth...every time I look at the picture of Hunter your cat. He just looks
like a Christmas cat! You could write a cute kids book about him...on that
picture alone! lol

Here is a thought for you since were sharing about what's outside our windows:

Oh, I like that! I agree your kitty is adorable. Anyone have any pics to share? It is drab and unispiring here as of late.

Well, this isn't looking outside my window but this is a cute picture of my Grand-daughter Madeline
taken around Christmas time while the family was out shopping.

How Sweet! What a cutie pie. Never seen a chair like that-sure could use one for the local 4th of July parade though!

Hi, Cheryle. Just saw your "frozen iron" pic. I thought it was frost on a santa or elf until I read your side title.:) Isn't nature's hoar frost spectacular!

Yes, it is. But truth be told I am getting anty for Spring. Gotten a few catologs and tired of the cold and drab. Atleast when the sun shines it looks like diamonds but there is little snow and just cold. They say there is a nest of 10 or 12 Bald Eagles over by where I work. I saw a few photos on TV. I am going to take my lunch hours this week and see if I can catch some photos of them flying around. Can you imagine 10 to 12 in one area...what a blessing!

This is a view from my kitchen window last June! It gives me hope for the spring.

Lettuce, spinach, kolrabi, beets, turnips, beans, squash, pumpkins, broccoli, green beans, cucumbers, tomatoes, cabbage, peppers, peas, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, hops, dill, rhubarb, parsley, mint, oregano, rosemary. They are not all in those two beds...I have another bed and an herb garden bed behind my house! Having fun looking at the seed and nursery catalogs. I put in 4 apple and 1 cherry tree last spring and they did well. I just hope they come back this spring!

Wow, your own produce stand right in your backyard. I made my first raised bed last year and will make another one or two this year. I did very well with it. I admire your skills. I am enjoying my catalogs too. This year I plan on braching out a little more. Where I am it is all clay...clay way way down. So I tried the raised bed last year plus we lost a tree and there were lots of roots. My husband didn't want me to bring home bid equipment to pull them up...darn! tee hee hee

I have had a garden for years... but this year we will only have a few containers on the patio. I will grow peppers, tomatoes, lettuce/salad mix, and herbs this year.
I have my name on the local community garden waiting list to get a plot. Maybe next year.
I just love hearing about all of your gardens and kitchen views!

We have a local community garden that I pass everyday on the way to work! To tell the truth I had never known the need for one being an Ohio girl...farms are plentiful where I grew up. Anyway, here too there is a waiting list but last year they expanded the gardens to about double the size and put in a real sewer system and water too! I love to drive by in the spring and summer each one is a postage stamp or perfection and personality. I will have to take some pics this year so that you can see what I mean. I hope you will share some pictures of your container garden with us!

We had a kitchen window thread a couple of years ago and I think it is just a fun thing to do.
I spent a week in Eastern Washington house sitting for my daughter and family on their ranch and here is their view from their kitchen.

Claudia...your tree looks just like a deer with antlers. See the eye on the trunk! lol
Yup that looks like Deer Park and Spokane weather alright. That is why I moved here
25 years ago. Too much snow and too long of winters there. I like snow a lot better now that
I don't live in it all the time. It is pretty in smaller doses!!!

Hugs and Smiles,
Peggy

Ha ha ha....yes indeedy Peggy! That is a maple tree ouside my kitchen. We had blowing snow, plus, Dan was trying to snowblow the snow before it got too heavy to move. I know he did not purposefully do it...or maybe God wanted to give me a laugh in the middle of the snow storm, but we saw that deer plastered on the side of the tree too. Would you believe that the "eye" is a little maple leaf that hung around way past when its bigger brothers & sisters were put in the compost? Alas with our 40+ degree temps, my deer is gone. I hope not to see it until next year. Don't want anymore heavy snow!

Lorraine, thank you. It was a great treasure to see, but because I am LONGING for Spring, I will gladly exchange it for beautiful leaves on the tree. ;0)

Claudia...you should send that picture into County Magazine! They would love it! It must be a female...she has her hands on her hips. She is definitely a deer with attitude!
I am sure you are ready to be out of the snow!!! We are getting buckets of rain today! The Pineapple Express Weather System is visiting us! I would rather it left Sunshine and not the liquid kind!

Kristy...I love your Barn! I have a thing for cool barns. Even old dilapidated ones can spark the photographer in me with soulful longing. They seem to whisper their history to me. Maybe I should
call myself "The Barn Whisperer" hahaha!

Hi Lorraine...didn't want you to feel left out!

So many lovely pics just the thing to lighten my mood after a tough week of not feeling well. Thank you all for sharing. We've all been so blessed by such lovely veiws somehow even in this freezing, cold odd weather.
