Today I got more wonderful recipes from Lin, Kristin and Susan. I'm picking up a new ink cartridge tonight to finish up my recipes, they should go out tomorrow!

I already have a 3 ring binder with the clear page protectors, for some of my other handwritten recipes. I'm making a slot of two just for these great MJF Amish recipes!

Thanx all, this is fun. Finally had my AC fixed today, also. Now I can get back into the kitchen without heat exhaustion setting in. It's been 95 or close everyday. I got the sweetest Holly Hobbie note card with a recipe for Pecan Pie from Marlene today. It sounds absolutely delicious! My Dad loves Pecan Pie, so will try my new recipe on him. Also got a very nice note from Marilyn today with recipes printed on the inside and back!! What a neat and personable way to send them! I rec'd 4 delicious sounding recipes on recipe cards from Mel today. She even printed "MJF Amish Recipe Swap May 2010" on each!! I love it! And they all sound awesome! And Kristin sent her recipes on a piece of paper with cute picture of bees and flowers and a paper art flower on the bottom corner! Such creative girls and I absolutely can't wait to try all of them! Thank you so, so much!! Hugs and happy cooking, Lin

I've been working extra hours at the post office all week. How much fun to be sorting the mail and see all the envelopes with my name. Thanks everybody for the great looking recipes. I can't wait to start trying them.

Hi All! Let me preface to say "I'm a dope". ROTFLOL!!!!!!! I made Judy's Southern Gal Biscuits.....they taste fabulous. I ate them with nothing, not even butter. But after I had them in the oven I realized I had forgotten the creme of tartar. Luckily the recipe calls for enough salt and baking powder. I am sure they would have been a bit higher but they are grrrrrrrreat, regardless!

Also made Diana's 1-2-3-4 Pound Cake......fantastic texture and marvelous flavor.

Just took Marilyn's Cheddar Meat Loaf out of the oven....it smells just delightful....can't wait to sink my teeth into it.

So I'm off to do just that. Thanx to everyone for all the delicious delicacies.

Maybe Scapple tomorrow with some Honeyed Beets on the side.;) Yummy

My best to all,
Mel

Please forgive me and THANK YOU to all of you for the wonderful recipes! I can't wait to make them all! And thank you sweet Channah, for organizing all this. You did a great job!
