Gena, I am so sorry to hear about your dad. I lost my dad about 15yrs ago and I still miss his smiling face, but I know I will see him again one day as you will see your dad too. Remember the good times and he will be with you forever. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Blessings,Karen

| I am so sorry. I have lost both of my parents. Its so hard. There is a thread about holidays without loved ones in the Holiday section...you might find some good ideas for getting through some days from folks who have posted there. |

oh Gena! I am so sorry to hear about your dad. My dad was taken from me about 25 years ago suddenly and I stil miss him. I will be praying for you and your family...

Gena,
I am so sorry for your loss...my thoughts and prayers are with you!!!My father passed away in June 2002. He was 80 years old at that time. Today would have been his 88th birthday. I miss him so and understand what you are going through...

Nancy, Mom really is taking it hard. We had a private family viewing this morning. She kept holding his hand and promising she would be with him soon, and to have her kisses ready.
They were married 62 years. He was a wonderful husband and father.
Kris, I got your hug just when I needed it. I told mom that one was from you too.

I am getting ready to leave for the visitation and funeral.
My Dad was a WWII vet, and it will a military funeral when we get to the graveside.
I hope I can control my emotions. I get all choked up when they play "Taps", even if I am not close to the person.
I am going to miss him so much.

I'm sorry that I just now saw this post . . . and I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SORRY you lost your dad!!! I do know how that feels as I have lost both my dad and my father-in-law.
I know that you'll get through it and I will pray for you and your family as you let go and deal with all of this.
