I really like all flowers but Daisy are one of my favorites. I think they are a friendly flower. Hugs, Channah

Mine are Gerber Daisies. They remind me of big full happy sunshine in different shades. hugs Jessie

Channah....I just love Daisies too. I remember Meg Ryan saying the same thing in "You've got Mail." She said they were a Friendly Flower and I have to agree. They just make me "SMILE!" Plus I carried a BIG Bouquet of them when I went to the Courthouse to get married 3 years ago. mmmm ... memories. Lavender and Lilacs are my next favs!

My favorite flower is the purple coneflower (Echinaeca) which grows wild in the restored prairies around here. I have some in my yard and they attract butterflies and even have medicinal uses. Cindy

I love all flowers. But if I had to pick just one, I would have to say sunflowers. They are so bright and cheerful and pretty.

Oh Judy, do I have to pick just one? I love violets, lilac and our little wild roses, tho' the roses don't bloom 'til June, I always look forward to them. Lilac was my mother's favourite flower and they always make me think of the good times with her. I love the purple and white striped crocus too...they are so perky!

zinnias, daisies, sunflowers and lavender. Just seeing those in my garden makes me smile, and they are easy to cut and have indoors. Oh, mercy. Isn't spring here YET??????

I absolutel love daffodils When we were young marrieds and lived in Tennessee when my DH was in the Navy. We had 1 car and I would drive him to the base every day. On the way home I would notice a little farm house with tons of daffodils. One day i screwed up my courage and pulled inthe driveway. I knocked on the front door and this sweet little old lady (in an apron no less) answered. I asked her, rather shyly, if I could pick a small bouquet of the daffodils and she replied " Honey, those old jonquils just grow like weeds out there. you'd be doing me a favor if you would stop as often as you'd like and take all you can carry" I had been so lonely in that little town far from home and that woman made me happier than she'd ever know. So, we had fresh daffodils on the table for weeks afterward. Now, every spring when I have a bunch of daffs I think about that sweet lady Michele

It doesn't matter. I really like roses, but I also like gladiolas and lillies and JUST FLOWERS! Anything I can get to grow. The cold hit so fast this year that I didn't have time to put pansies in and I still need to cut back my mums. I already have tuplips and Dutch irises coming up, to it's going to be pretty in my garden soon.

Michele...
Isn't it amazing how the even the smallest of kind gestures toward us has such a profund effect on our lives...I remember the little ole ladies in "aprons"...makes me think of my dear sweet grandmother...
What a wonderful and touching post that you shared with us...
Amazingly enough daffodils still grow on my grandmothers "old home place" as well as my DH parents "old home place"!!! They are like sweet memories of days gone by...they never truly die...
Have a wonderful day...

Hey, Maryjane,
I have red & white roses, I think they're called Candy Stripe that grow in my front garden. I actually have a really old red one, a Joseph's Coat, the Candy Stripe, and a white bush. Love them!

My favourite is the rose (my dad grew roses in his garden.) and second is the sweet pea because it smells wonderful. (Dad always planted them along the path to our front door.)
Give thanks to yourself everyday for all the wonderful things you do! |

I wanted to know what everyone elses favorite flower is...
My favorite flower is any type of wildflowers...there is a song that I used to listen to all the time when I was very young...
It was called "Wildflower" by a group out of Canada called "Skylark"...I sometimes still listen to it as it is my all time favorite song...
I also carried a bouquet of fresh wildflowers when my DH and I got married this past June...
Smiles...
Love as if there is no tomorrow!!!

My all time favorite flower is a yellow rose (my wedding bouquet was yellow roses and babys breath), I have more of them than any other flower on my place, but daffodils and narcissics remind me of home (Missouri), so i have alot of them also, along with Iris's of every color.

Wow that's a tough one for me. I'm a florist! People often ask me what my favorite is, and I tell them I have a Top 10 List. (Which really has about 20 kinds on it! ) I think I really love whatever is in front of me. I love the first crocus of spring. I love the fragrance of peonies, I love zinnias, I love green gladiolas, and yellow Skyline Roses, even though I don't especially love roses! I'm in love with pincushion protea, and birds of paradise. I die for armloads of lilacs! Amaryllis? You bet! I think I'm just madly, passionately in love with flowers!
Do something you love! |
