Thanks Girls! We're off tomorrow to Phoenix to spend Christmas with our daughter, Robin . . aka "birdie71" and her family. Will be gone a week . . a much needed break.
Looking forward to time with her and time to re-focus.

Safe and sound in Phoenix . . it's raining. Robin and I met up with a friend last night that we've done breast cancer events with. Was a nice evening of laughing and being silly!!! AHHHHHHHH!!!!
Today we hang out and do whatever . . . AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
Tomorrow we drive to Tucson to see my MIL . . . not so keen on more driving and she and I don't have the best relationship. But it'll be okay.
Christmas day here with family . . and whatever.
Sunday Robin and I get to meet up with 3 other farmgirl sisters who live in this area and are also in our Henhouse Chapter. Looking forward to that!!!

I'm back from a week off for a Christmas trip to be with our daughter and her family. The break was desperately needed for me. I go back to my sister's today for work today. I will be off again Sat/Sun. and then back Mon/Tues.
The time with family was very good, however, it was laced with some situations with various family members (my in-laws and SIL) that are difficult and discouraging.
Talked to my sister's other caregiver yesterday and things are pretty much the same which is good in some respects. We have almost 2 feet of snow (in the last 2 days) so it's been the plow and shovel snow routine . . . And, changes are in the works for me with the new year.

Thanks Brenda! It's a VERY SNOWY, FROSTY morning. We're off to a "normal" start which, in the opinion of some, would be not so nice!!
Visit with the Arizona Farmgirls Southwest Henhouse "chicks" was FABULOUS!!!! Posted some about it with pictures in our Henhouse. Was such a refreshing, regenerating time with these girls!!!

CJ... So glad you had a nice escape from caregiving. I know all to well how that can really wear you out. It is so admirable that you are doing that for your sister. I thank God for the time I took care of my Husband, but it was so taxing mentally and physically. You are in my prayers as is your sis.
I pray the family issues will resolve themselves without more pain and grief.
Stay warm and dry. We have not gotten any snow here this year. Good and bad. I do not do well in the snow but the farmers need the moisture so badly. Take care dear sister... and remember to BREATHE !!
