Sunday night my flipflop caught on the edge of our deck and I tripped, slamming down REAL HARD on the deck, mostly on my left side.
Now, my ribs are SORE, SORE, SORE!!! Makes it hard to work with my sister. I'll live, but it sure is painful!!!!
So, pray for me to heal up!!!
AND, plesae continue your prayers for my sis . .
I'll get back you later on status with her!!

CJ try some Arnica lotion I put it on my strains and sprains and it relieves some of the hurt. It really helps to do it before a hard work day and then after too.

Thanks girls!!! It is better . . and when I compare it to a fall onto concrete a couple of years ago and how that was . . I'm pretty sure that THIS TIME I didn't crack anything. The time before I know I did because of the pain and how long it lasted.
Still sore and hurting some . . but better!!!

Oh that does hurt. I cracked a rib at work once and just breathing hurt. No hugs being sent this time, that would hurt to much but sending up prayers for you & your family.

I know, I know Diane . . my feet HATE, just HATE shoes!!!!
I'm better, but still with still very sore in a localized area of my left ribs!! Very sore!!!
Keep on keeping on I say!!
Had yesterday off but back to work with my sis today and tomorrow . . this just adds to the challenge.

CJ, So glad you are feeling some better - please don't overdo with your caretaking! Has there been any change in your sis? When can you expect to see any results from her treatment? Still keeping you ALL in my prayers!

Thanks again girls,
I don't see any change in my sis . . yet. The dr. who did treatment said not to expect any immediate results . . if anything changed it would be over a matter of some months.
She also always has to recover from her trips and that takes several days. It is just SOOOOOO upsetting to her routine. We are in "recovery" week . . :(

My sore ribs are better, especially during the day when I'm moving about. Trying to find a comfortable, pain-free position to sleep at night is a different matter entirely. That has been hard . . hoping and praying for healing to move along so I can sleep!!!
My sis has a bit more verbal interaction going on . . none of it coherent. She is also doing a LOT of hollaring and squawking . . .very anxious a good part of the day. I hope this is not the "progress" we had hoped for because it's not positive.
That's it in a nutshell . . and, again, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR CONTINUED PRAYERS!!!! COVETED, CHERISHED AND APPRECIATED SOOOOOOOO MUCH!!!

I'm healing up . . SLOWLY!!!! Still some pain in ribs, but also in my back where it is radiating around. Using some massage oil at night that I got from our own "NatureMaiden". Heated up rice bags, etc. Dealing with pain makes one weary!!!! I am starting day 2 of 5 days off so I'm hoping that the break from working with my sis will expedite healing.
I worked 4 days (12 hr. shift) last week, had to do some significant yard work and then back at work this week for 3 days (12 hr. shifts) and I just haven't had enough down time. I had a minor "meltdown" on Weds. afternoon with all of it . . .
If there is any change in my sis it is not really positive . . she has been more aggressive. The speech pathologist was talking about the brain and how things really get "rewired" in a brain injury and is concerned about this stem cell treatment. His statement was that these things usually build on the neuron pathways that are open . . and that is not always a positive thing. So far, I'm not encouraged but am holding on to the hope that, as my BIL has been told, with more time, perhaps positive change will be evident.
This situation has been and continues to be a REAL test of patience, strength, hope and faith . . . and yes, GOD knows ALL about it!!!
As always, I find myself without words to adequately express my appreciation and gratitude for your prayers, your support and your encouragement. But, THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!!!!

CJ, meltdowns are not good. Take a personal break please. You need and deserve it. I am always praying that your Sis will have something positive occur after all that turmoil. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I've had a few melt downs too. They are so weird and hit you out of the blue.
