Juneau, Alaska here....though I was born and raised in potato country, Southeast Idaho. Growing up, I never wanted to be a farmer like dad and grandpa but at this point in my life, I just can't wait to get back to it. Now that the kids are about grown (daughter is a freshman in college and son a senior in high school), the husband and myself are currently looking for our dream property to homestead and live off the grid. Until then, I have taken over the backyard with my raised vegetable beds, berry bushes and large container garden. Can't wait to get to know all you fabulous farm girls...

Hi again ladies! I know I've been off from here for a LONG time... but I'll be on here more often very soon after the dust settles..... My soon to be ex-husband ensured the foreclosure and subsequent auction of the farm, so I lost both my farm businesses. Now I'm finishing up a move to an apartment.... I'll have more time to share my farm experiences and work on merit badges, though I have already probably accomplished most of them without knowing! lol....

Hugs to you all!!

Geeezz Dawn! Sounds like you have had more than your share of trouble. Well, I've found the sisters always have a good word and some interesting conversation. Hopefully you will be able to get back on your feet soon! Many blessings to you!

I live on 34 acres in the foothills of the coast mountain range about 20 miles west of Roseburg, Oregon on the same property my parents bought in 1956.

I live in tiny Elk WA. Before we lived here, we lived in Lake LA, CA in the Mojave desert. I'd much rather be here.

I live in the Gatineau Valley in Western Quebec (Canada) on the 28 acre farm that my parents bought about 35 years ago. They live in town now but everytime they started talking about selling the farm I begged them to hold on to it for me. I always said that I was coming back as soon as I could!

I live outside Manhattan, KS (the Little Apple), on a farm in the flint hills. I have the Kansas River on one side and the Konza Prairie on the other. We moved to the farm 6 months ago and just love being here. We are so blessed!

I currently live in Warren, Michigan. It's a suburb north of Detroit, second (or third depending on census) largest city in the state. We go back and forth with Grand Rapids on who gets second and who gets third. We have a huge back yard that I'm turning into my urban farm. My goal is to be producing almost all our produce and veggies within five years.
