I live in Ackerman, Mississippi in an old house at the end of a fairly short gravel road. We can come home and forget about the world, if needed. :-) I love it!

Have a great day!

I can't believe that I haven't posted on this topic. I went through all 17 pages and I am nowhere to be found. I live about 7 miles north of Evanston, WY in a log cabin on a 1/2 acre lot. We also co-own a cattle ranch located 30 miles east of Evanston.

We live in Highland, MI, the SE region. I grew up in central MI though. I am kinda disappointed to see only about four others from MI. It is exciting to see so many from WA. My step-daughters live on Whidby Island in WA. I enjoyed the area when we visited them.

Good Glorious Morning, FG's!

We live near a very small town - Butternut, Wisconsin - in the far northern part of the state on a beautiful lake. We are about 50 miles south of Lake Superior.

We've lived in a saltbox we built (well, we did lots of finishing work!) about 18 yers ago on about 2 acres of mostly woods. My favorite part of our home is a screened-in porch that saves us from the hoards of mosquitoes. The wild flowers, berries and my own herbs are my gardens and the deer, birds, bears, ducks, geese, chippies, squirrels, turkeys, eagles, and bunnies are our livestock!

Blesses be,
soleil

I'm in Northwestern NJ. We live in the suburbs right now on a 1/4 acre. My yard is mostly shaded so I don't have much of a garden here. We plan on moving to a more rural area in the next five years so that I can have a real garden and chickens.

We live by the phrase "Home is where the military sends you." We are on a base in northeastern Illinois right now. Hard to live out my farmgirl style in such cramped quarters, but at least I can always dream of what we will have someday.

I live in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough outside of beautiful downtown Wasilla Alaska. I used to be out in the country but the sprawl finally engulfed the old place. Have been here since 1983. Still working on the house.

Cherime, welcome to you! Of course you know that your home town is now an extremely popular place...mainly because I purchase some home made soap from Swanmountain Soap through Etsy. Having lived in Anchorage in the 60's, & visiting since then, I can not believe how much that whole area has grown. You will love MaryJane's group. These wonderful bunch of ladies are so interesting, loving and helpful and I am sure you will find that so. There are many areas for you to make new friends here, so get ready!

Wow it's really cool to see where everyone is from!

Right now I live in Colorado and I hope to stay here for a while. From St. Louis originally, my parents now have a small farm in mid-Missouri and it is amazing! Someday (when I have money!) I hope to have a piece of land somewhere along the front range (in CO) to have my own small farm, but still be close to Denver. Oh to dream!!

Also, I have been taking lots of pictures to get my Farmgirl Shutterbug badge. To see how I have been "living the farmgirl lifestyle," go to my photobucket album here:

Laura, I just looked at your pictures. I enjoyed them all. Besides photography, I also saw your gardening & sewing talents. You have a newer tractor than what I grew up on, mine was a Ford Ferguson (in the 1950's), but you looked as happy as I was aseat the tractor. I think you will love MaryJane FG. Thanks for the pictures.

Good luck in selling your home, Christine. Have only been in your area once when we took our son to Collegeville...to St. John's U in 1989...so many years ago. Beautiful country.
