Well after glancing around more on the forum (you could get lost in time or is it addicted) to all the already setup different topics, something in there for everyone it seems! I went into the place on the pages that says; Jump To: Select Forum & used the drop down arrow & was surprised at all the different topics. For you Julie, I saw one on the "Try This" area, then to "Goat Milk soap" interesting info. on so many of the pages, so maybe there is enough places setup already. I'll look some more, this article could go under maybe "Entrepreneurship" or "Marketplace" or if someone has a better spot, or likes the idea of a topic of "What's It Take To Get It Done" or maybe just "What's It Take" so it's shorter. Later ladies. Angel

Angel,

I think I will put it under Entrepreneurship
That sounds like a good area. The topic fits right in.

Julie

Pamela and Julie ~
I would absolutely love it if some of the Southern Fried Farmgirls considered a 'field trip' to Farm Fair July 1st and 2nd!! We are having a Farmgirl Campout that Saturday night. Quite a few Chapter groups will be joining in the fun. If you send me an e-mail at cindylou@maryjanesfarm.org I'll send the Farmgirl Campout information. For more information on Farm Fair go back to the MJF Home page ~ scroll down to the About Us section and click on Farm Fair. Let me know if you have any questions! I'd love to meet you!!
Sunnily yours,

Hey Pam, was good to see you the other day. I'm going to try in a container the seeds I got the other day. Yesterday I planted the pinto bush seeds I had gotten from you at the store this week, glad before this rain came in. Don't feel bad about anything anyone said/says, I'm sure she was just being consciousness due to the fact that some "bad" things/plants have come into this country by good intentions/cuteness/hitching on/etc.,etc. In fact a few years back we were camping at Sam Rayburn Lake in East Texas & talking with the park person, they were battling a very invading water plant giving a bunch of the lakes of east texas alot of trouble by trying to take over, it was bad stuff for sure!! Sometimes just taken from lake to lake by boat propellers, etc. So like I said she was probably informing or making aware because some folks don't know what they are doing or dealing with. No puns intented to anyone. So onward bound we go, smile & be happy, lifes too short for everyone....Best always to all, Angel

P.S. We still need to reschedule for Kings Orchard or somewhere else for us to go sometime, lots of stuff going to be starting to come in. Blueberries before you know it, & we can always go down the road on 1314 to Mooreheads it's not very far at all, with the cost of gas these days!!

Huntsville State Park - lake is being taken over by this plant. They can't stay ahead of its growth. It is becoming dangerous to swim as you can get caught in these plants and get into trouble.

Pam, I would not let her bother you. Just continue and hold your head high.

Best Regards,
Julie

Hi Girls,

Boy, have I had problems is my "puter", got everything fixed and glad to see I having missed out on any big event, Woooo Hooo! Had a great time at the garden a couple of weeks ago. 1st time ever and throughly enjoyed it! What a great bunch of gals . Been a little busy around here, got 17 baby chicks and Momma & babies are all doing great! Let them out of the nursery the other day and its amazing how fast they pick-up on the "chicken" habits. Now they all want out every day. Little buggers needs to figure how to get into the little hen house at night.

Everyone have a grrrrrreat week.

Hey Southern Gals!!

My "day job" has restrained me from being on the computer much the past couple of weeks. I want to say again how much fun my girls and I had with all y'all at Mercer Arboretum. I kinda want to go back to see more daylillies in bloom.

After I post this, I'll go check on King's Orchard availability and then let y'all know. Moorehead's for blueberries would be great, too! If King's is still low on strawberries then let's just go to Moorehead's.....like Angel said--shorter trip = less gas.

My family has done FREE things at Jesse Jones Park for about 9 years. Us gals could go do some of the same things....like...... a guided boat ride down the river with discussions on history and natural history.....bird banding......bird counting......finding wild edibles.......looking for owls at night.......gardening classes......tree and shrub classes.....and so much more! After Pam's feed store, this park is like our 2nd home. Well, probably 3rd home after Home Depot.

I look forward to seein' y'all soon! OH, I haven't forgotten......I'm gonna check on the costs for the materials to make the PVC planter.

Julie......I'm so glad you like our herbs!! I'm dehydrating more even now. Let me know if you'd like them packaged differently. For example, if you don't need the little jars and just want the herbs in a plastic bag, then I can do that......and at a reduced cost from the jarred herbs. I've got loads of rosemary. Next week, I'll be drying some fresh lavendar.

Blessings
Catherine

We are under so much construction right now, that I was wondering if we could possibly meet somewhere else this time for our meeting.
Let me know if you have any ideas.
Thanks,

Hey y'all

Pam, Chuck is a gem for doing that for you and for us!! I'll be there Sat. morn.

Keep us in your thoughts and prayers.....we've been traveling back and forth to Beaumont to help care for Jason's grandmother. She's 88 and things don't look so good.

Blessings
Catherine
