Jenny, I read all your blog entries and discovered we're the same age. You've done a great job on your blog, btw, and I enjoyed reading it.

Well, golly, y'all fixed up happymama / Patti real quick. I was going to offer to split that group of 3, but hey...y'all got'r'done! So glad you joined in, Patti!

If someone wants to jump in real quick we can make that 3 group into 2 pairs.

Blessings
Catherine

Aunt Jenny -- I'm so glad we're partners in this swap. You know my address and I have yours! Now -- what to make?

Mine is just a little old fashioned garden where the flowers come together to praise the Lord, and teach all who look upon them to do likewise.

How lucky to be in the group of three! I am still undecided as to what I might make...something simple and of course green.
Let me know what you gals like- fancy, earthy, antique or ?.
My style is very eclectic, think 70's berkeley, laurel's kitchen- not very primitive.
I sew, knit, and cook while I am at home with my sweet 2 year old Bella. We just love to have little domestic projects and explore our new home in the palouse...
Can't wait to see what you girls come up with:)

Quick question since I'm new to this. I saw there is a $5 limit as far as value goes. So am I to understand this doesn't mean how much you can spend, but how much it's actually worth?

I don't mean to be stupid, but I don't want to do this wrong. So, for example, it would be a no-no to use 1 1/2 yards of on-sale fabric to create an apron since aprons are worth more than $5?

I really appreciate your patience here. I've been plotting and planning all day and am having so much fun trying to figure out what to make.

What that I want to make will be over the $5 too. But I'm making it anyway.

Good Mornin' gals,

Patti emailed me with the above question. I emailed back.....NO DON'T DO IT!!

JUST KIDDING

When I was formulating the ideas for this year long exchange I gathered advice from some seasoned farmgals. The suggestion of a price limit was to give a boundary / guideline and to prevent really drastic differences in gift values. Ya' don't want one partner to receive a Cadillac and the other receive a Yugo. $5 seemed to be a fair amount so as not to require much money or time commitment but still allow for fun and love! So, of course, you can make your giftie for more than $5.

Blessings
Catherine

I almost just had a heart attack! I was writing in my journal and for some reason I thought the mailing date was the 3rd. I jumped up, booted up my computer, and was so relieved to see it's the 13th. Whew!

Talk about panic time. The older I get, the more often I have to doublecheck things.

My house is finally somewhat empty (houseguests left a little bit ago) so I can finish my project and pop it in the mail. If I get to work, I might actually make it to the Post Office before it closes today! This is so much fun!
