Have any of you girls just gotten spring fever and started decorating for spring and/or Easter?

So far .. i have a big gray enamel pot full of raffia with an antique bunny and those wonderful eggs from Rusty Pins and Olde Lace on the table top ... found another vintage bunny yesterday at an antiques shoppe that is closing tomorrow for a BUCK ... i have lots of vintage bunnies packed up in that 'schoolhouse' .. jus' haf'ta find them .. then there is NO stopping spring from coming early!!!

I have been buying wonderful 'easter' treasures for my family members. i tend to go a little 'crazy' with holiday gifts for everyone (kinda' like christmas) .. i usually do: valentine's day ... easter .. Independence Day .. back to school (for the kids) .. halloween AND christmas! it's such fun buying and making little doo-dahs all year long then creating a 'basket' or 'box' fulla' treasures to celebrate the holidays. and when you spread it out over the year and watch carefully for 'great finds' .. it really isn't so expensive at all!

took a fun 'basket-making' class last night .. these are monthly classes ... got tooooooo sleepy to finish last night .. but then got all energized on my way home and stopped at wally-world and got some springy fabric to make new pillow cases for the front porch rockers!

will post some pics when they are finished.

what have you girls been doing in the spring decoratin' department?

xo

Frannie, what color fabric did you get for your porch chairs?
yea , been bringing out my ducks and bunnies too. I have a lot of old easter things from Richards aunts. early 1900s-1950s. Couldn't believe no one else wanted them when we were going through all there things. I also have some of Paula's eggs, I just love those, they fit right in with all the old stuff. Just re-read my Tasha Tudor book yesterday and that gets me all stirred up, of course it doesn't take much, you know walk into a room and change it around, didn't even plan to. thats one of the things that making getting up everyday so much fun.
Have fun this weekend, maybe you can find some treasures for us to adopt.

Project Easter ~

I thought I would post, I am s-l-o-w-l-y bring out my Spring /Easter Decor. This is a wonderful time of year , It's really hard for me to resist anything "bunny" with a vintage touch. I love the chickens too, I have some pink glass chickens, so sweet.

To me this season means , pastels, robin's egg blue, nests, chicks, bunnies oh my.

Here are some pics I am just starting to pull out my belongings.....

These sweet bowl fillers are 'supposed' to look like white chocolate and milk chocolate bunnies. I have more to make and a basket that I will fill with these faux treats....

Can't wait to see you all's pictures.

Blessings,
Theresa
