Seasonal and Holiday Gift Exchange

Theme: St. Patrick's Day
Deadline to sign up: Feb. 19th
Partners announced: Feb. 20th
Mail date : by March 13th

I'll post the original guidelines on the next post. But, basically, you'll make a handmade giftie with a value of $5 or less. You'll send it to your "partner" that you'll be matched up with.

Junebug and Sqrl....y'all posted at the Valentine's exchange that you'd like to be in the next one. Your names are in the hat.

Blessings!
Catherine

Seasonal and Holiday Gift Exchange guidelines

* ongoing exchange throughout the year, new themes will be announced as they come up. You can post to each exchange individually as they arise.

* handmade item valued around $5 or less

* item can be anything relating to the current theme... Frannie said it well..."HAND-DID ... can be 'anything' within the theme ... card-art, altered book, teeny dollie, pin cushion or other sewie, small painting or hand-did wood item, etc. etc. etc. .. determined by each maker's skills, materials, interests, and imagination."

* post that you want to be included Please include:
Name, hobbies, color preferences, etc.... This will help the maker of the giftie. (You will switch addresses only with your match.)

* names will be matched by random "pulling from the hat"

* groups will be of 3 or 1 on 1.

* matched names will be notified

* matched names will email each other with mailing info.

* ladies will come back to this thread to tell us all about their goodies!!

Oh my! I went through the fabric department today and saw soooooo many shamrocks and greens! There were a few bolts of various plaids.....felt like homespun but I didn't take the time to look at the tag. So many ideas started flowing....my bestfriend, Lisa, was with me and got a kick out of seeing me excited. She doesn't get that way about fabrics, but, when we walk into Office Depot or Office Max, both our hearts start racing! I just love paper and markers and organizational stuff and and and and......

The yarn section also had some pretty greens that haven't been there before. Oh, when I saw the shamrock fabrics I thought they'd make cute boxers for my husband. Perhaps I'll send some along with my giftie swap partner!! Or maybe some pajama bottoms for her!

Blessings

Catherine, I didn't mean to sign up for this one, is it too late to get off this list? I would like to be part of the Spring/Easter list, gives me a little more time to prepare.

Sorry, I didn't see where I was supposed to include information, so here it is:

Hobbies: scrapbooking and paper art, reading, "nesting", antiquing/junking

Favorite colors: to wear -- red
for my house -- bright pastels, "flower" colors

Sorry about that!

I just read the thread more carefully, and it looks like I was too late. That's okay -- my fault entirely for not reading more carefully. Please add me to future events, though, if you're taking names ahead of time. Sorry for the confusion.

Jenny, if you really don't mind, I'll take you up on your officer. I'll email you in a few minutes and give you my address. Then I'm going to spend some time reading your blog to see if I can get any ideas of what to make for you. Thanks so much for offering to do this!
