Our lilacs here in Buffalo have already come and gone. So sad that their lifespan is so very short! Now I have to resort to lilac scented candles but oh well!

back to work.... I can hardly keep my eyes open. This weekend drained me. I napped constantly for the past two days. Its been HOT here and that dont help either. I have 5 brand spankin new kittens in the barn. Its so funny picking them up and watching them try to be all bad and hissy at you. I have to put a chicken down tonight and not looking forward to it at all. But its deformity is hindering its growth and a farmgirls gotta do what a farmgirls gotta do. I finished one of 14 badges last night. Ugh. I am NOT an embroiderererererere...however you'd say that. My fingys hurt! Mostly from stabbing myself with the needle.
Work really stinks. I wish I were at home. They put in a new air conditioning unit and I'm freezing my behind off. I'm not really an air conditioning kind of gal.
Okay. Only 7 more hours until I can go to town and buy the latest issue of MJF because mine got stolen this weekend! We had it out on the farmgirl round up table and it disappeared.... sniff sniff!

TS: okay, so I've been researching some things in Washington. HOw far is craters of the moon? Tubbs Hiull Nature Trail? Iron Horse Arena? JOhn Wayne trail... gotta do John Wayne trail...pardner.... and the Tekoa Museum. I read it was really cute. Anything railroad-ishout that way? Love trains.

Okay... back to snooping the web.

I would pay to see you in the parade Dawn, hehehehe
Annika, how are you doing ? I miss you all. Next week I will have more time on my hands so I'll come chat with you. It seems SF was a pure fun farmgirl gathering and I bet BBB will be as well. I am making plans for coming over next year to either one or the other, I need a serious Maven fix.
Lov ya.

heheheee, imagine that Dawn--the Naturally Marinated Woman!

Dawn-If ya havent already taken care of that chicken and need help, lemme know and we'll come do it for you, k?

ooh a Cowboy Parade...lotsa photo ops there!

c'mon over to Ohio, Corinne! You'll have a grand time!

ok, I prayed for rain...and now the kids are saying "see Mama, it worked" because night before last we got over 3.5 inches of rain in less than an hour! And plenty more since then! I think we're all caught up on rain for the moment.

We've been without electricity due to storms the past two evenings, and I've had enough of playing Amish! LOL!

OH and by the way..... We all "know" Dawn..... And love her... truly! but lets just say.... that as weird as it was to see a horse and buggy parked outside of Wal-Mart.... it is as equally mind-blowing to see the friendship of Dawn and June.........Dawn= wild and wooly and full of............... (In the best possible way ever) and then there is June... as in Clever............sweet, smart, and quiet.... (Although, I did see a spoon in her hand "stirring the pot" a time or two... SO I come away from Ohio with one word resonating in my mine DICOTOMY... two extremes of the same things......................................

June ... I predict our storm will hit about the time Dawn does.. Batten down the hatches girl.... Dawn's a comin' LOL

Okay I haven't even heard of craters of the moon or Johnson, WA. Tubbs Hill is in CDA, I believe. Iron horse arena is in Tekoa, it's sooooo interesting, a cook shack, iron bars that make a correll(sp), bleachers, hahahahaha. The John Wayne trail is the old railroad trail that a bunch of riders every year ride, it starts over by Seattle and comes across the state ending in Tekoa. We do have the museum, I might be able to get someone to open it up while you're here. Tekoa basically was a train town. Used to be a thriving place, until they took the tracks out.

Almost got my garden all put in. Marcy Jo I wore that apron you sent me at Christmas. It was fabu, I tell you and I'm hoping that the veggie print fabric on it will be some good mojo for my garden, *grin*.

Dawn, Johnson is not even in the atlas. It's like a ghost town I think, hahahaha maybe a grain elevator is there. Btw, John said you have to mow the lawn for him while you're here and I have to confess to you that I'm a fabricaholic, lol.

Okay.... wow, I go to bed and everyone is up to no good here.
Yes. I truly treasure my new friend June. We are def two extremes. But dont let her fool you...not for a minute...quack....

June, I can't believe you've been with out power. Not us. You all should've come over. BUt we definitely got the rain... for sure. I'm worried about the garden already. And now I'm gonna have to try the molasses cake candle.... ha! June makes the CUTEST darn candles ever...

TS: Okay, so now I have to paint the floor, mow the lawn, and deal with fabric addiction... sooooo it's not a vacation anymore right? LOL! I love to mow! And if Johnson is that far away, dont worry about it. I just thought it sounded interestining. I gotta veggie print apron from marcy Jo too! YAY! TWINS!

June: weirdest thing. We are communicating via Idaho when we literally live 15 mionutes away... but that's not what I'm getting at.

Yesterday morning I asked the chick for forgiveness as I "normally" do not go around killing innocent animals..ducks included. BUt I told her that I knew she'd not have a good life and this was the only way. When I came home from work yesterday she was dead. She was just laying there completely stiff as a board. After I kinda breathed a sigh of relief, I felt sad cuz I knew she'd starved to death with that crossed beak. So.... the deed is done by His sweet grace. He knew that I would've had trouble with it. So Corky/Kelley is buried somewhere on HTF.
