Hallie I got your letter yesterday! So sorry to my penpals. I have not been very good at writing back. I just haven't been able to find some time to myself lately. My DH has gone out of town and I am running the farm without him. My son and his girlfriend have been here to help my since I still can't pick up heavy objects. We had a new baby foal and my back isn't doing to well(going to the doctor today. prayers needed please)Will try and get some letters going real soon. Thanks for sending letters my way. I enjoy reading them all.

Thank you Channah! You have a letter coming! Will try and do some writing soon.
Been having a bit of trouble with the doctors and trying to get another procedure done before the end of the year. The doctors thinks I hurt from my fall right after the procedure so I am trying to get a report from the store where I fell. I left 3 messages today to the woman with no reply. I am getting disgusted. Anyways will be working on some letters.

To all of my penpals who have not heard from me I apologize. I have had a lot going on and if you go over to the Hogs and Quiches thread and read the post on CRSHELPMEET you will understand part of why. Also it is a very busy time for us at the store and I have not had time to sit down and write to you all. I am thinking of you and appreciate you all.

I work for a school district, full time, as the inventory specialist. I orderd all textbooks used by the district, most of the supplies used in the classrooms and keep up with any capital equipment needs (computers, printers, desk, etc) but I love to do art work. I crochet, quilt, tat, knit, embroidery, tole painting. My husband is unable to work so he is home most of the time with the "kids" and tries to take care of me. I am learning how to can and preserve food, am starting on my garden. I have started on the honeycomb quilt in MaryJanes last mag and so far have 7 flowers made ..and they all look good...I am so happy with that. We live in a 3 bedroom house in the middle of the city and I am trying to get parts of it remodeled --the kitchen is microscopic , I have one counter that is not as wide as a computer desk--no space to do any work..but it is very slow. Still, being on the forum has helped my outlook greatly and my husband has told me that I cannot ever stop being a farmgirl! :)
So that is a little about me....just email me if you want to write and we can exchange addresses too.

I would love to write letters too. I used to be in penpalling in a big way in the 80's. I had 35 at one time. It's a lost art, for sure. I'm 54, live in a "semi-rural" area. My dream is to have a small farm of my own where I can save rescue animals. I love all animals. I have 2 horses and a dog. I enjoy cross stitch, embroidery, reading. I also do some gardening, but my horses take up so much of my time that I don't do alot of that anymore. If you want to exchange letters, let me know. Not sure how you can email me directly. I'm very new on here.

Hug a horse or a dog today!

Okay y'all...I'm back. Our disk drive died and with it all the info and letters I was working on. I just got it fixed yesterday. Please accept my apologies. If I owe you a letter I will be getting out at least a short note or postcard in the next week. Please feel free to write in the meantime and we will get caught up.

Hi. I am so intrigued with penpals. I did have 2 in the 70s during high school, both from Europe. I don't consider myself old, altho I'm in my 50s... maybe 53... what year is this? I work ft for a wireless phone as customer service. I believe I'm losing my hearing... not sure if it's the headset or from people yelling at me about their bill. Needless, to say, I love gardening. Plants respond through action... not words...so it's peaceful. I'm constantly learning and trying to adopt self sufficient practices. In my "spare" time, I prepare taxes, market for a Music Row studio, design with calligraphy and work on websites. My curiosity is unending. I love to try something new.
